  1. Very first head unit I ever bought, still in my truck, still works like the day I pulled it out of the box.

second head unit I ever bought, only had this one for a year no problems with it, I love it and it's pretty user friendly.

The only real big problem with these is they were "bought out" you can still find some new head units every now and then, but I would drop a nice chunk of change on a used one if the face was still nice looking.

There are head units that are just as nice or nicer for cheaper, I know Pioneer and higher end Alpines are supposed to be really nice, but I've never messed with them.

  2. yea, its quite funny what people say

saw one guy say "it says 40,000 RMS, that means it must be 100,000 peak, thats enough to make your brain explode" or something close to that, LOL

"iff it were 40,000 watts RMS the peak would be probally somewhere in the neiborhood of 100,000 watts. thats probally enough power to literally blow urr brain out even with earplugs on. the sheer pressure alone... i allmost wana try lol"

just thought I would help explain the idiot a little more. :drinks:

  3. Been out there respraying my wiper arms black they had been faded down to nothing. I was able to get it off. I used a plumbing tool to change out the stems in the shower (hot cold stems) its hollow one side bigger than the other. Came off fine, Now the new one had some red loctite stuff on the threads and I stopped threading it about 3/4 way in because it started feeling tight and I don't want to over do it. I'll keep my eyes on it for the next few days. Thanks for advice :drink40:

The red locktite looking stuff is more thread sealant than anything. I probably wouldn't put more than 20 foot pounds to it if it were me.

  4. If your factory ground wire follows the same as mine, you ground wire actually goes to the block/transmission ground then goes to the frame. BUUUUUT I have a 4.2 and a 98, things could be totally different for you.

Yeah mines the 5.4 and a 99. I bet they are very similar. I didn't know the wire was that long. Thanks for the heads up man :drinks:

No problem at all. I was really surprised when I started looking at mine, sort of caught me off guard!
