Alright Thanks!
Remember, you get what you pay for. main thing you want to do is look for the features you want and compare units that have them.
-
Very first head unit I ever bought, still in my truck, still works like the day I pulled it out of the box.

second head unit I ever bought, only had this one for a year no problems with it, I love it and it's pretty user friendly.

The only real big problem with these is they were "bought out" you can still find some new head units every now and then, but I would drop a nice chunk of change on a used one if the face was still nice looking.
There are head units that are just as nice or nicer for cheaper, I know Pioneer and higher end Alpines are supposed to be really nice, but I've never messed with them.

yea, its quite funny what people say
saw one guy say "it says 40,000 RMS, that means it must be 100,000 peak, thats enough to make your brain explode" or something close to that, LOL
"iff it were 40,000 watts RMS the peak would be probally somewhere in the neiborhood of 100,000 watts. thats probally enough power to literally blow urr brain out even with earplugs on. the sheer pressure alone... i allmost wana try lol"
just thought I would help explain the idiot a little more.

1, amazon does not have any of those in stock.
2, You get what you paid for, I would personally find it hard to only spend 100 on a HU.
3, I'm partial Eclipse HU's, but that's just me.

Been out there respraying my wiper arms black they had been faded down to nothing. I was able to get it off. I used a plumbing tool to change out the stems in the shower (hot cold stems) its hollow one side bigger than the other. Came off fine, Now the new one had some red loctite stuff on the threads and I stopped threading it about 3/4 way in because it started feeling tight and I don't want to over do it. I'll keep my eyes on it for the next few days. Thanks for advice
The red locktite looking stuff is more thread sealant than anything. I probably wouldn't put more than 20 foot pounds to it if it were me.

Is there anything n8 can't do?
-
I could be wrong but i thought if you put 1 ohm+ 1 ohm it gives you .5 ohms not 2?
depends on if it's series or parallel.

I'm a fan of cone area. Lol I like em in pairs
Not going to lie to you at all. The SSD will sound better and get louder than both of the xplods combined. I've had a couple sets of xplod subs and they just don't last.
-
Fi SSD 215$ for no options its rated at 1000 rms but ive seen them handle more without gettin warm
I guess I'm 3rding this motion, I love mine, started my out on a punch 300-1. will get loud. I would put my money behind them. you can also find people online everywhere that are selling them for cheap. I picked mine up with a brand new recone for 150

Have you tried to get a hold of LKQ or similar company? They always seem to have every part I break in stock and ready to ship, however I have never asked for the whole dash.
-
Imma say something pretty! Pics NOW!!!
-
for the fail.

I think like $15 or something like that and got a thing of solder with it. It gets the job done. the only thing I'm not a big fan of is it's corded I'm a bigger fan of the butane torches and such, but can't justify $40 or more for them.

If your factory ground wire follows the same as mine, you ground wire actually goes to the block/transmission ground then goes to the frame. BUUUUUT I have a 4.2 and a 98, things could be totally different for you.
Yeah mines the 5.4 and a 99. I bet they are very similar. I didn't know the wire was that long. Thanks for the heads up man
No problem at all. I was really surprised when I started looking at mine, sort of caught me off guard!
-
In my honest opinion, the el cheapo from wal-mart works great if your not going a bunch of technical soldering. I would never even attempt to solder on a board with what I have, but to do connections for HU's and such (simple things) it works awesome!

I'm wanting to say I used like 3 feet for the frame ground to factory location. but it's raining now otherwise I would go out and look right quick.

Great transaction, great shipping, and pretty easy to work with. Would I buy from him again? In a heart beat! Thanks for the deal and th opportunity!

I'm just waiting for the preordering to start and I will be in line.
-
oh don't worry I will. I was just comparing quality. I've heard good things about some of their 4-channels, so that makes me have hope for decent things for something little like this.
-
They arnt very overrated if they are, maxxsonics is usually pretty close
I know some of the 4-channels are pretty reliable. it may be what I tell him to go buy.
-
I be eye balling that MB for him pretty little amp for what it is. can't remember how far off rated those things actually do.
-
Mb quart fx600, alpine mrp500, crunch powerzone pzt1500, mb quart onx1000. Used kicker 300 amp of you can find a good deal. Some decent soundstream stuff for the price as well
Well thank you very much. I forgot about all the maxxsonics stuff. I'll look at little harder.
-
and which would you recommend?
