well it's that time of year for me. I just got the truck some new rubber about a month ago and now my gas getter needs some new rubber. Can anyone please help and point in the right direction with some tires.
I normally put goodyear on my vehicles but I thought maybe I would try something different this time around. I need an all weather tire that can do decent in the snow and rain.
thanks
The Hook.
p.s. I hope this isn't officially a VS thread. I just wanted to help everyone and do the search work for them.
EDIT: if you need me to post anymore links to say tire rack or a place more main stream let me know.

I'm in for something smaller and easier to work with. even if it's just a hair more expensive. less work = more time do work on something else. worth just a little more money!

use hood pins. problem solved.
sorry hoss I drive an f150 not a bag of rice.
buddy of mine had hood pins on his mustang. looked sexy as hell. i wouldnt say hood pins are for ricers but more muscle.
They have their places, not my completely stock 4.2L F-150, low and slow doesn't need hood pins.
thanks though

ok, At best I will be running 2 15's in my truck. It's nothing crazy but I had on e hooked up and have noticed some more rattles and such. so I guess I really should've asked what any body recommends that I do. The truck is my daily driver, I don't ever plan on taking it to a comp. It's built more to tell the wally world wanna-bes off.
I hope this helps anyone make a suggestion.

I like to support out partners so I will order whatever they carry. That's just me though!

Can I just get away with doing a layer or two of spectrum and not add anything else on top or do I need to add some damplifier to the top of that? sorry this will be my first experience with sound deadner altogether.
Thanks

you guys have any special coupons in place or coming up in the near future? it's getting close to build time for a lot of us! I just thought I would ask before I started pricing everything out!
Thanks

it's not super-charged by any chance is it? A small vacuum leak could cause that problem, fuel filter, and those motors are really really bad about blowing up the intake gasket (especially with the orange coolant). If you have a platinum or iridium spark plug you DO NOT want to even attempt to re-gap them, you will more than likely ruin the plugs all together!

Right on, I looked at this before, but I really want something that human error can't mess up the lenses, they're not cheap anymore. I'll go pull an extra out of storage and see.

I have a 95 grand prix 2 door with H4351 sealed beams for the lows and H4352 for the highs. Anyone have any ideas on how to hook these up with HIDs and preferable projectors? I've found kits for the 4"X6" sealed beams, but nothing for my little bulbs.
Thanks in advanced!

What frequency would you recommend for setting the iPod? And what DB I guess would be proper for a beginner to set at?
-
Thanks! This helps a lot!!!
-
What is a good frequency to check the iPod at as well? And does it matter what frequency/DB to use in this instance?
-
how do you check ipod for clipping?
Get a 3.5mm cable with two "male" ends. Now you would
check clipping the same way you'd check in on an RCA
Right on! That helps a lot. Is there going to be an accuracy difference if I use the test tones off my iPod then to set up my whole system?

OH Hot damn! THANKS GUYS!!
-
I'm crossing my fingers this works. if not I'm screwed!
-
UHH... clicking on the "insert image" button or the "insert media" button. or neither?
-
When setting my gains and head unit and stuff, What do I need my EQ's set at? and do I need to check my Ipod (and other inputs) for clipping? And where would I find a good reliable frequency disk?
Thanks in advance!!!

I would do two sets but I can't afford another set of shoes for it. Not with gas going up 10 cents every two days.
