  1. Last night I retuned both of my amps. Since my phone cannot do stereo bluetooth anymore because it's in such bad shape. I tuned through the AUX cable this time. Every other time though, used bluetooth. I used the same -db tracks as I did before, just this time, used Snow's .wav files over the .mp3 ones. I noticed that this time around, everything sounds just a bit quiter than it had before. Some songs that used to drop me to 10's, now doesn't, mids/highs are as loud as they where before. Could that be because I used the .wav files? Or maybe something else? I am going to try the mp3's a bit later today, couldn't get access to the DD-1 test cd last night so I had to work with what was availible to me at the time.

  2. In all honesty, if you are asking that question. You should have asked it before you bought a product and having an expectation from it without knowing how it actually works to begin with. Charging voltage is usually based off of a builtin computer saying what to charge at. Honda's have an ELD (Electronic Load Detector), where the alt is only charging, when it detects a load. Which a system, doesn't count, it goes off of windows, heat/ac, lights, sum roof. Every car is different. What vehicle do you have??

  3. I noticed with mine if I go through my house it is bad with reception, but I have never used anything else with bluetooth other than a very high end logitech headset, and only into the other room. I have noticed though, which I believe is my PC's fault, but it has very hard times connecting to it. I really think that is my wifi/BT adapter for my pc being shitty.

I took mine up to the woods to cut firewood , and I had the same issue . I'm connecting with either a galaxy s5 or iPhone 5 . Another funny anomaly is my wife's s5 ,and mine can connect to the boxx at the same time . I'm playing music one day ,and I can hear her stupid bubble pop game too .

I have had that happen so many times I unpaired my PC and the box. I would play music off of my phone, turn my pc on and here the boop boop for it connecting. Worst is, if I am jamming, that's really loud lol.

  5. So I thought half of my stereo was dead, turns out my phone cannot bluetooth a stereo signal for some reason. My question that originated into me looking into why it didn't work. What does the VU get it's source from. Is there a 4 channel amp powering each speaker? So the VU is for just a speaker, or is there a 2 channel power each side, so the VU goes off of that?

  6. The dd1 works up to 125v so you should be alright.

16 ohm load requires 56.6v to get 200w

8 ohm load requires 40v to get 200w

4 ohm load requires 28.3v to get 200w

2 ohm load requires 20v to get 200w

Going to guess that the woofer in there has either a 4 or 8 ohm coil which puts you well in the usable range of the dd1.

As for the test tone I don't know, so hopefully someone chimes in on that.

Thanks, never knew about that voltage part. I am pretty damn sure I can, just want to hear a yes it will work as it's meant to before I possibly harm his nice new expensive sub

  7. I had my dad pick up a B&W ASW1200 I believe it was. It is a 12" subwoofer with an attached 200w amplifier. On the amp there is a knob, can't remember if it was labeled as volume, gain, whichever. My question is. Shouldn't I be able to take the amp off, wire up the DD-1 to the amp and turn the dial until it picks up distortion, if there is any. I really believe the answer to that is yes, and if it is I have another question. I am not the best on knowledge of how the different db tracks work in comparison of each other. So in a home setting, where for the most part, is always the same constant voltage. What track would you use to tune a home audio subwoofer? Is it still based on the style of music that would be played through it to try and best match up what is played? Thanks in advance my bass heads.

  8. The battery is new and ill check the rca cable they look fine to me doe

I notice the distortion comes on even setting the gain down maybe the head unit ?

I'm thinking I'll disconnect the front speakers n see if that has anything to do

I'll post a video of it Ina few

You can't just look at a pair of RCA's and just say, "they look good to me". Doesn't work like that. As well, I can tell you didn't follow the instructions for the DD-1 because in it it specifically states to disconnect your speakers when tuning the amp.
