Pictures Okay, for the first one, its 0 common port walls. As you can see, the port is in the middle of the box...the port has all four walls on its own, and shares no common walls with the actual box. (Please note, this particular box has an external port to it. 0 port walls has nothing to do with the fact that the port extends past the outer wall of the port...its just the way this particular box was made.) Now, for 1 Common port wall. As you can see, like the OP's box, the port share one of its walls with the wall of the box. But, as for the other three, the port has its own walls. And for two, the same deal...the port shares 2 walls with the actual box, and it has two of its own walls. Now, for the most common, its 3 common port walls. Ussually the easiest b/c it allows the biggest port with the most port area, and requires less wood, glue, and screws to construct. But as you can see, the top, bottom, and one side of the port is shared with the box, and the left wall of the port is all its own. I hope this helped you out guys.

And also, to the OP...IDK if you know alot about box building, but I'm gonna assume not since you posted this up. Just to help, here is the rule of thumb with your 45's...it always helps to put it directly in front of your port.. So for you, put it against the bottom wall, and the wall directly in front of the port opening. In other words, if you reach your hand through the port opening, put it against the wall you touch, and the bottom of the box...this way when the air is moving in and out of the port, it hits the 45, and not a 90. And if you have room, do it directly above that 45 also...against the back wall and the top baffle. But no where else. There is a thread somewhere on here where a guy tried everything possible to see which "idea or method" works best...and that included a 45 in every corner of the box...and directly in front of the port worked the best. But better than 45's is actually pvc pipe. Cut it into 1/4 pieces, and you are left with a small curve, and put that in the corners instead of the 45...the only downside is you can't screw these into place. It ussually takes a little bit of fiberglassing for this method...or duct tape. LOL!

A common port wall is the wall that is shared by the port and the box. In other words, its the bottom side of the port you in the box you drew. Hope you can understand what I'm explaining. If you are like me, words are hard to visualize and I always need a picture...if so, let me know. I can post a pic up of a box with one, two, and three common port walls.

Not to get off topic, but in Cali, drinking and driving on private property is legal? Wow...here on the other end of the US in South Carolina, the law states anyone in "control" of the vehicle can be charged anywhere in the state...private property or not..even on mopeds and lawnmowers...if it has a motor, you can be charged. And the way the law reads, if you are in a bar, and you have the keys to a vehicle in your pocket, you are the one that is in "control" of the vehicle. Kinda messed up aint it? SC don't play with DUI laws not one bit...

I highly doubt he will ever be back in society...but he won't be in a state prison in general population. Right now, he is in a mental instition in a padded room, and that is probably where he will stay for the rest of his life. But, I personally don't see a 'mentally unstable' person barricading himself in a car for 20 hours and staying calm the entire time w/ police surrounding you, no food or water. But the guy did smoke about a pound of weed, and a lot of coke while he was in the car all that time, which might explain why he stayed so calm. Drugs can just ruin people man...i hope i never have to deal with serious drugs like this in my home and family.

So, another exciting week at work in a small town. I wish I could tell you guys everything I know, but unfortunately I can't. But here is what I can tell you. At about 4pm on wednesday, Vondell Malachi arrived at Marlboro Park ER and honked the horn at the ER entrance. When nurses came outside, he stated that his g/f had been hit in the head, and she needed medical attention. So nurses got a stretcher, and lifted her limp body out of the passenger floorboard of his car and wheeled her inside the ER room. While the doctors are trying to bring the victim back to life, and stop the bleeding, the Malachi subject parks the car, and walks in the hospital with his 7 month old son, who is covered in blood. At this point, the doctors realize the female victim has a single gunshot wound to the top of her head, and call law enforcement. Well, as law enforcement begins to arrive on scene, the subject gets real nervous and makes back for his car...before he can get out of the parking lot, 2 officers fall in behind him. So, the subject, at a speed of about 10mph, opens the drivers side door, and drops his son out of the moving car. A high speed 25 mile long chase then ensued through city streets and county roads. It ended at the front door of the subjects home, with him barracaded in his vehicle. All windows of the car were blacked out, making it impossible to see inside the car, and we knew he had several guns in the car. Now, he sat in his car from about 5pm on wednesday afternoon, until 11:45am on Thursday morning. It took three different Swat Teams, to include our team, Chesterfield County Swat, and S.L.E.D. Swat to get him out of the car. But no one else was hurt during the ordeal. He gave up calmly, and was immediately taken into custody. Now, me personally, I was with the crime scene, where it is believed he actually shot the female, for the majority of the night by myself. I got to explore some things, and put my own theories together. I really wish I could tell everything I know, but I can't right now. I will keep you guys up to date.
