-
turn a speaker into an ashtray
edit-
Maybe... Get an old school TV, take the front off it, along with all of the old TV components, put some plastic where the glass screen was, put hinges on the front part, and turn it into a "cooler".
my buddy took a tv and turned it into a fish tank

take a reconizable object, and change it in a way to make it something else, something real or not.
-
by strapping your amps you can do 4 amps per one sub - hell you could do 8 amps per sub with quad coils
**edit didnt proof read

wtf you talking bout boy
square aero??
-
a mofo 12 was my first sub and it got loud
it has a high FS though and likes 35-40 hz tuning
-
When you get above 155 sealed, trust me you will know it is loud...LOL
kinda makes your asshole tingle eh
-
its easier to get port noise with round ports from what i've seen ( i got mad port noise with 3 4" aeros in 4 cube box)
if your port is to small or to long you'll get port noise
but im going wait till someone else more knowledgeable with aeros
OP wait till the morning when its not night time and people are sleeping to get full answers
-
thanks..was also ment add what do people like alan dante or how u spell his name use..
and how come in walls it slots
the only real advantage to aero is port noise because of the flaring and you can have this same affect from flaring a slot port some people swear by slots some people swear by aero it really doesnt matter
please make sense of this

haha you couldnt use aeros in an extreme vehicle unless they were made of steel
and i see alot of people throwing the "aero port" name around even when they are talking about normal pvc pipes
there are
pvc pipe for ports/ pvc flares
then there are percision ports
and there still not "aero ports" those are the cheap ones
as for your question on walls and ports there have been a couple (theres one on this site with bunch jbl subs and aeros but dont remember how long ago i seen this)
reason why people dont use aeros in walls are the price tag
sure you need less port area (8-12sh^2 per cube) but to get the amount of port area you need your spending 100's of $ on ports
where as a slot port is simple and cheap
-
i dont know what is going on here
what car do you have what setup is in it
and it looks like you need some box help if so PM me
-
anyone else notice the subs facing back touching the rear of trunk haha
fuck "those people" are dumb (not being racist)
-
no one can help you find a rattle over the internet
you need to go outside of your vehicle one day and listen and listen and listen some more
and find where it is coming from
and then determine how to fix it

wondering if anyone has a 1995-1998 monte carlo with bucket seats? (tried googling/cardomaining it but not many people take pictures of there seats)
i'm wanting to replace the bench in a 97 lumina and would like some dimensions/pics of seats as i cant find shit on the web
-
Some chevy Alt's have a square plug (around 96 and older) and a oval plug (around 96 and newer). I would just cut the harness off at the junk yard so if it does't match you can cut and make it work.
but all chevy alts work on same wiring diagram just different plugs?
-
seen the thumbnail but couldnt download as i have the old sketchup and yours is new so no downloady
-
I would look for something with alot of stock electrical(Power windows, lights, heated seats, mirrors, v8's) Usually the more electrical a car has the larger the alt. I would just try to find something that will fit and then do a cheap rebuild.
yeah i was looking online here and found the OEM replacements are 100-105 amps tops so i'm wanting to find somthing bigger
making a bracket isnt a problem as i have what is needed i just dont know how the plug works on the top of the alt going to computer
At a pick a part or LKQ or whatever they are called in your city, there is usually only a list of prices of each individual part. I have never seen a list of OEM parts at the jumkyard. I would google your alternator make model of your car and see what compatible alt might fit. Google is your best friend sometimes.
pick n pull and i checked online for pricing and its 19$ for alt and a 6$ fee for something else
and i tried looking what type alts would work n only thing i could come up with was the lumina's sister car the monte carlo which is the same 100-105 amps
another question- are all chevy alts based off same plug? if so i could make a bracket for bigger alt while using same plug?
-
where would i find said list ?? - or are you talking about at pick n pull??
if you are talking bout at pick n pull i would like to know before hand and do my research first
-
looking to replace stock alt in 1997 chevy lumina 3.1 L
due to it being all gunked up n full of black oil n shit
so i plan on going to pick n pull tomorrow and grabbing a replacement for 30$ while i save up for HO alt
so my question is what do you look for when buying scrap yard alternators
year of vehicle- km- what are the characteristics of a good alt that i should be looking for
also wondering if i could fit another alt instead of a lumina alt say a large case truck alt??
to be honest with you i dont know much bout alternators just how to install haha
-
could also mount it to your rear strut tower
