Use angle iron Sa the main support and skeleton, than 12 gauge sheet on the outside to weather tight it. 3/16" plate is a lot
Edit: better idea lol
your talking a lot of weight correct??
and thats actually not a bad idea i could angle frame it and do the floor thicker plate and the walls dont need to be that thick so i could use some gauge sheet
any other ideas from others??

plans in near future are to cut out the spare tire area and slap in a battery box, roughly 35x30x12 so decently big trying fit 6+ batteries in there and was wondering what thickness steel you guys used and how you braced it ?
i was thinking 3/16" was strong/light enough
-
wow first time i hear someone say that lol
edit- my bad didnt put 2 n 2 together.. yeah just not a fan of rf
Wait for the new sundown NS-1 i clammped a little over 10k from my pair of 4500s
Maybe look into an AB1100.1
and i never was one for sundown but i have been curious about them and wanted to test em out

2 DC 3.5K's would be way under your budget of $1000 a piece
Edit-Sorry I just re read and you want 5-7K PER amp?
yeah i'm looking for 10-15k rms/watts total and i know thats alot of power so 1000$ per amp is just ballpark area
edit- was looking into 2 crescendo 5500s but want to see what else is out there
-
maybe if you strapped 2 ROCKFORD FOSGATE T2500BDCP you looking at 6000 plus RMS
not really that big of fan of RF as well im looking for more power then that
i was looking at aq for amps and have said amp in the choices
2 of those aq's and ur gettin 8600 straped
yeah i know they put out a bunch o power - what ever happened to the 4500 series
-
i'm looking to upgrade my amp from a powerbass xa3000D to something with a "little" more power.... looking to spend around 1000+$ per amp
i plan on having one amp per 2 atomic apxx 15s
looking for 5+7000 + rms (per amp)
electrical will be whatever the amps needs are

any idea on price/price range?
-
well he said he used a flaring machine.
that may be how he makes his but i know alot of people make a fiberglass/bondo base and use heat to form the pvc around
or they use a metal bowl and heat to flare it
-
That is a bad ass port by the way man!!! How did he flare the PVC out like that? Did he just heat it up and do it very slowly and carefully?
... yes thats it

nice wes is back

Does powerbass make good stuff or do the lower prices seem too good to be true? Anyone know? How do they compare to RF?
powerbass = garbage IMO.. RF = great quality.
Why garbage? just because it isn´t as expensive as your RF??? i mean, i have a 400.4 for about 5 years now without any problems, i used an asa1500.1 and sounded awesome for the price, also ested the xta4000D and it´s a monster, it can take 0.5 ohms for music and 0.25 ohms for burps without any problems, not like your RF by the way
By the way, look at Pulse car audio videos using a pair of powerbass amps for a single DD 9515 hitting 157 dbs sealed on the dash, and then you might think again about saying is garbage, of course, i respect your opinion as your preferences by using RF wich i totally understand, but garbage?? yeah right
run that powerbass at .25 daily and see how long it will last.. when it comes to amps you should not cheap out.. sure the 4 channel ones may work alright.. but in the long run of going through cheap amps you could have bought one nice one that lasts years and years..
i've ran my xa3000d at .175 daily so i dont know what your talking about
but i guess its hard to comprehend shit when your choking on Rf's dick

Use cardboard mock-ups for cutting trim panels, thats what Im in the process of doing right now.
Check under your jeep and drill from below into your box and bolt bolt bolt. (assuming theres no wires going to be under your box and under the carpet.)
seatbelt bolts work too can always tie into them
-
build 2 seperate box's the exact same and stack them bolting them to eachother and to the vehicle- dont want it falling on you
and for mine i will be welding steel frame into vehicle
-
kinda like my plans but on smaller scale

wheres finished product of this
Waiting on the sub to come in from T3, was suppose to be here 2 wks. ago, but we all know how that goes. Need to have to sub so I can ensure the ports don't rub against the motor. and to make my top baffle so I can countersink the sub.

yeah the plan was to mount some flat bar to hold them down nice and snug to the vehicle and i plan on competing but i dont really care as long as shes loud there would be only 1 other extreme vehicle around and thats team riprock and i aint got a chance at 181+ db so im not to worried
