  1. So is RF better quality than Hifonics?
  2. Are you going to be putting one up for sale soon?
  3. Dude I'm always on RF's website and I don't even know how to get to that. I didn't know it existed lol. I also noticed some 5 channel amps in the Punch line. Maybe those are new.
  4. Yeah I thought the same. Looks like the only drawback is going to be if I start wanting to get into bigger power ranges and then I have to replace the amp and go back to dual amps...hmm something to think about though
  5. Isn't that only 4 channel though? Nice amp.
  6. I haven't thought Hifonics yet. That actually looks pretty good, and would be a perfect match for my system once I had the P3's. Good RMS for my speakers too.
  7. They're DVC, but I'd have to keep room for upgrading because I only had these for a month and I'm already selling them to get P3's. And those probably won't last long either. And they're D4.
  8. My setup changes all the time haha, but right now it's 2 P2's and 4 P1 speakers. Currently using 601s amp and Xplod amp. The problem I'm seeing as I search for amps is that none of them seem to have a very high output sub channel. That's unfortunate.
  9. I'm thinking about simplifying my setup with a 5 channel amp. Anyone have any recommendations on a good amp? Or any reasons that this is a bad idea?
  10. Sorry to hear this man. I hope he gets what he deserves and that you can maybe pull something positive out of this experience. Have a speedy recovery!
  11. Alright guys, thanks for helping me out with that. I appreciate it!
  12. Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but what do I do with that? Does it go on my RCA's or something?
  13. Alright thanks man, I can't seem to find an answer anywhere, as I typically do my own research before asking questions. Any knobs you would recommend that I could use?
  14. Does anyone know if the PEQ's that Rockford Fosgate makes will work with the 801s and 800a2 amps? It says on RF's website that they are compatible with 2007 or newer Punch amps, and some from 2004. But these older amps I am getting both have the same connection for remote gain knobs. If these are not compatible, any suggestions? I need one for bass and one for mids/highs and I'm in a hurry to get them. Thanks.
  15. Okay cool, so here's what I'll do: Next paycheck, I'll go grab some 1/0 AWG wire and knock out the big 3. I'll look into a new battery for my car, and maybe I can get one within the next month. I'll also investigate my ground and see if I can find a more suitable location for it, if my problem persists.
  16. Haha it was the only point I could find that seemed stable enough after building my amp rack, but don't worry it's not rigged. The spot really should be fine. There was a reason I put it there, just can't remember now. There are some other things that I think are effecting it more than that.
  17. Okay I'll look into changing the idle speed. Do you know of high output alternators that don't cost $550 a piece like Mechmans? yea there are some out there, as i have bought a few others before, but for what its worth, i ordered a mechman yesterday haha, so that should say all i need to say about that. and for your power, you really shouldnt need a HO alt, just look into a nicer battery and the big 3 as a solid foundation. also, make sure ALL of your grounds are good. a weak ground can really affect dimming, voltage drops, etc Alright, I don't mean to sound cocky, but growing up with my dad being an electrician, I guarantee you could pull a ground/power wire loose with a winch. Haha but yeah I'll look into a dry cell battery or something. ok thats a good start. and being tight to the grounding point isnt the only factor in it being a good ground.... cleaning the area to bare metal, a good choice of a spot(i.e. not on the trunk hinge) and other factors are important in good grounds also Yeah, I sanded it down and secured it to an existing bolt on my taillight assembly.

  20. No, I don't know what it is. But it's from Advance Auto, so I'm sure it's nothing special haha.
