  1. Yeah I know there's rules and limitations on this stuff. I didn't really want to do it too many times because it is too stressful and time consuming when I'm trying to focus on school. But there is another car that I considered...I just don't think it would sell. It's a 1990 Mustang LX 5.0, needs a windshield and headlights to pass inspection and the guy wants $950. I would offer him $800 and try to sell for $1500 to $2000, but it just seems really risky, especially since it was engine swapped from a 4 cylinder, so I bet the rear axle is still a 4 bolt and was probably done in someone's garage. Just seems like a trap.
  2. Yeah they are a little high. Still is selling way less than it's worth. If I made $300 to $400 on it I'd be satisfied. I'm not doing anything with the money right now anyway. I'm just trying to save for a '99 to '04 Mustang GT.
  3. Lol. Yeah I'm sitting on a little bit of money, but making .05% interest on it kinda blows.
  4. I'm trying to make some fast cash to get to my savings goal quicker. I am considering buying a Honda Civic DX, manual, 186500 miles, priced for $2000. Seems like a good first car/daily driver that would sell pretty easy. It has two broken hubcaps, so I can put two new matching hubcaps on it from ebay, and then sell it just a little shy of KBB value, which is about $3000. I am a little nervous about it, as I don't like letting go of my money, but it seems safe. What are your opinions on this? Am I foolish? Edit: Year 2000
  5. I bet that was cool! Probably build a box for the subs? Smartass
  6. I'd just like to see what he would do with: one Ford Excursion, 2 AA SMD 18's, an appropriate amount of amperage, and a truck load of MDF.
  7. My apologies. :/ Thanks! This is incredible and really peaks my interest right now. I've really been struggling with the compromise between good car audio and good car performance. This shows that it can be achieved in smaller, lighter builds too.
  8. I've been watching this guy's videos tonight and he really does do some good shit. Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_vREBOdFVU
  9. You're probably right about the wrong category...oops. I rely on the general audio section too much. and off topic section. I guess I'm used to it. Besides, what fun is life if you can't take a joke. I know I say dumb shit, so I gotta take the abuse for it too.
  10. I was the OP and I wasn't offended haha. Unless something horrible was said while I was at work.
  11. Just wondering why the thread "Woofer break in period" got deleted. Thanks
  12. Hey, no need to make fun! I spent a long time trying to tune this with the best line I could get in WinISD. Look at my curve before you judge, I was happy with it! I will have pictures on the way within the next couple days...I don't know if I want to start a new build log or not. And what is it with SMD and mainstream brands? I definitely considered a DC Level 2 10...the new ones they just released. But the new P3 was more suitable for the constraints of my box. And it's about 2 pounds lighter. Sorry I'm too mainstream for you. I don't follow the "trends" I guess.
  13. Hey guys, it's been a long time since I posted much of anything with substance in here. I don't have any pictures yet, but I officially sold my 2 P3's with the ported box for $170 (I only paid $180 for the subs lol!). I am unfortunately having to downsize so I can transport my drums for band activities. My boards are already cut for the new box. This one is made of Birch and will be stained with a light natural stain and lacquered. Same goes for the amp rack or wall that will go across my trunk. It will be a ported box for one of the 2012 series P3 10" woofers using an aeroport! I'm very excited for this one and it should be hitting the lows real nice since I tuned it to 20 htz. Well, there's my preview. P.S. I got Pioneer's DEH7200HD for Christmas and it is the shit! Everything sounds 50 times better than before. Even 256 kbps music.
  14. I've thought about it many a time...but I'm just more of a V8 guy. I'm not saying they're better or anything, but it's just what I grew up around. Pretty much waiting until I can get an LX 5.0 notch!
  15. Yeah well like I said up top, I don't really care that much about the gains...it's more just for fun. I just like to do stuff, you know?
  16. Modify an ebay intake into a ram air Sounds like a possible idea. Good way to weigh your options carefully! I can check for just a pipe...hard to find parts for this car in abundance and variety though.
  17. I'm trying to find easy ways to save money on my car projects so I can do more modifications more frequently. Typically, I am a firm believer in "You get what you pay for." However, is a $200 to $300 ram air intake really necessary for an engine that won't yield high results to begin with (GA16DE)? I am only hoping to gain a few horsepower. It's mostly just for fun. So, my question is: Am I a fool to buy a $40 to $50 intake kit off ebay or am I just a smart shopper? Opinions please!
  18. Yeah I will eventually if I keep the car long enough. Do you know how much something like that would typically cost? I would want my front and rear seats redone in leather/suede, matching door and rear trim inserts, along with a suede headliner. Possibly fresh carpet. Depends on the shop and car man Oh okay. I'm sure it's a little pricey. It's definitely not at the top of the list, considering all the body/paint damage and mechanical work that should be done. I mean it's a solid car because I take care of it, but gorgeous leather/suede interior in a beat up 200sx would just look silly haha.

  20. I would really like to get some 1995 - 1999 G20 leather seats for my car, but I can't find any. I did find some Audi leather seats that don't have the brand anywhere on them though. I am thinking about swapping them in, but how hard is it to fit rear seats from a completely different car? I'd imagine I would need a lot of luck for the fitment to be right. I just thought I'd ask though.
  21. Yes I loved it! What a pro! He's one of those guys that I know I will never ever be anywhere close to his level.
  22. Look at this guy! Damn! http://www.yourdailymedia.com/video/watch/14022/
