  1. I swear I've seen countless vs threads though and I have never seen anyone have an issue with them...guess I'm not on here enough. Why is against the rules? And why lock the thread when I can just edit my post to get rid of the "VS". Seems like people love to make an ass out of you on here sometimes. I mean just delete it if it's that bad...
  2. Why did I just basically get my ass chewed for posting a VS thread? Is this some kind of forum sin? I won't if it is really that despised, but I wasn't aware that these were offensive...
  3. I think you might actually hurt your box because I think it is supposed to resonate, but I don't know for sure!
  4. Sorry to disappoint guys, but due to time restraint I was not able to take document this build with pictures. Everything turned out fine and the only changes made to the design at the top was the port was turned sideways to blast out the side and was altered so it didn't need to have a bend. I know this thread is worthless without pictures.
  5. Thanks guys! I wish I could have been fancier, but I'm working with very limited space.
  6. Here's a quick build log of my friends system. I should be building the box today. It's gonna be housing a Kicker CompVR 10" woofer. Tight squeeze by the port! Here's a few pictures.
  7. This box isn't really accurate because it was a general design to see what can fit in the space, but for her I think I'll go for like 30hz tuning and 1 cu ft after displacement. If you have a better suggestion, please share because I've only ever built one box haha. Also, I could definitely use some help in designing a box for my next set of woofers. I'm waiting for DC to release their new line in January. For those interested in this program, here's one I was designing for an idea in my car. I'm not going to use it, but I still thought I'd share what you can do with the Inventor program. The box is 48x24x24.75 with a 20 degree tilt back. This was an idea to go where my rear seats are. EDIT: Box for 2 15's.
  8. Sorry for the late response! I'll take a look at it tonight and keep up the good work!

  9. Yeah it's Inventor. I used it alot last year in my engineering drawing classes. It's pretty boring, but I had to keep it small. :/ My new box will be more exciting, since it's probably going in place of my rear seats!
  10. Still working on some simple designs for my friends system I am building for her. I'm getting her a DC Level 3 10" woofer to go in a small ported box behind the rear seat of a 1994 Jeep Wrangler. First design!
  11. Haha it looks like it uses a piston rod to move...that's hardcore. Oh well, they tried. And I watched your avatar like 10 times. That's so awesome. It would be better though if he just smoothly walked it out like it was no big deal.
  12. Oh shit...that's not even the right video...hold on. That was related videos lol.
  13. I thought y'all might enjoy this! (WRONG VIDEO, but still cool)Here's the right one:
  14. Looks like the kit I was gonna get...I've been researching my ass off and here's my situation. I have ebay headlights that were about $180. They claim to be halo projectors (the halos are nothing like BMW's) and I am worried about the halogen projector output vs. true HID projector output. From a video I watched, I MIGHT also not be able to fit the H1 HID bulb into the projector. The guy that tried had the same style headlights on a 2005 Malibu. There were comments where people said they installed HID kits just fine into those projectors, though. I'm so tempted to just get some cleaner OEM headlights with the euro style flashers or JDM amber style. What a waste of money on the projector lights, though!
  15. Another crazy idea of mine...what about 1k HID flashers? That would be sick. XD Someone try this for me.
  16. Nice, have you seen a whiter (like 5-8k) HID compared to your 12k? What do you think as far as visibility and brightness? And yeah, I agree about the fogs haha. What your refuring to is what meade did on the tahoe, Also known as a retro fit with HID projectors which is the "proper" way to do HID's Yeah, Meade did it and alot of others. What if I'm putting the HIDs into projector lenses? Is this going to be more proper? Also, is the cut off for the light on the lens or the bulb? That may be a dumb question, but my cutoff is so crappy. Ebay lights for the win!
  17. Nope that was pretty helpful. I think I might just order the 5k HIDs for my headlights and maybe the 3k for the fogs for a JDM look. Although I'm still debating on the 55w lights. I want them, but I don't know if my car will power them enough or not. I love some bright ass lights. My headlight assembly is aftermarket and completely different from the original. Hope nothing melts...lol.
  18. You can probably find that information somewhere, especially for a newer car, but I would say it has to do with your wiring harness and how much of a load the wires for the lights can handle. If you want higher power lights, rewire your lights with some 12 AWG or something. Could be wrong so you may want to double check me.
  19. I looked at DDM tuning and I found that kit...wow that really is just a simple swap. One question though...my headlights have a warning on them saying they are not HID compatible. Is this because it is not safe to install them for maybe heat reasons or something? Or is it so people know that they will need a proper conversion kit to run them?
