  1. I think it is a joke. They aim for black target.

    This guy gets it,

They are only shooting the black parts.

I was not going to say it and chose my words carefully and used the word "rings", because its nothing but idiots trying to make something worse than it is.

Which is what people are trying to do. Even though that is used on the majority of targets because it is cheaper to print.

When you get into targets that have red and florescent green backgrounds you can easily pay $10-25 just for 1 paper target.

So again dumb people race baiting and making something out of nothing.

  2. Burr Brown op-amps are owned by Texas Instruments so I would just assume it would be just like any other component when designing and just pick the ones that fit your need.

They are nice because they have a lot of specifications that make amplification with really low distortion and noise while having a high speed.

They use to be there own company and not always owned by TI.

It's just a preference, can't really say one op amp is better than another, just like vacuum tubes, they have different tonal balance. It's up to your ear.

    Exactly

  3. Burr Brown is not technically really the best, people just think it is because its a name brand that has been said over and over through the years.

I know Alpine use to brag up and down about their Burr Brown dacs in the headunits. I know my cda-117 is still burr brown, but their newer models are just nameless.

Im pretty sure the Pioneer 80prs is still using burr brown, but the 99prs is using akm.

Either way Im sure Burr Brown is going to be better than the nameless opamps that are stuffed into many other amps, and that is a rock solid amp that you have on your hands!

  4. Yes, everything must be flat.

Most DSPs allow you to save settings so you can reapply them at a later time without having to do all the messing around again.

With the dsp being at -6db it would be tuning it as if there was just a weak signal, the DD-1 would not pick up its -6db slope.

What could happen? Well since the channel is set at -6db when you are using the dd-1 on that channel you will end up with a higher gain setting due to the lack of signal it is receiving due to the -6db setting.

So more then likely your mid will play as if it was before you added your -6db slope. Which should make the current -6 setting useless or as if it was at 0db, but if you go and change it to 0db currently after tuning with it at -6db it would be mad distorted.

  5. I remember chickens caddy needing all new XS power batteries for some unknown reason other than it sat for a month

Chicken gets drunk and plays the stereo for who knows how long with the vehicle engine off, walks away from it with the key still on.

Even though he just has to plug a cord into the truck and charge it he never does.

He does not care, if its broke he says here is the money, sends it to Steve on a flatbed truck and fixes it.

So please get your facts straight before you start a rumor mill about something you dont know.

  6. The dd-1+ is built off the technology of the dd-1 HV model and then some.

The dd-1+ is good for the same amount of power as the HV so if the HV was needed the dd-1+ would work just fine!
The dd-1+ is a far better tool than the HV model and quicker to use and set your own overlap of your choice.

If you are wanting the grand slam pack your best be would be to email them and inquire about it.

Products due go out of stock from time to time due to the reason is they are popular and sell fast.

The company IS NOT BANKRUPT in any way shape or form.

Whoever is giving you this information is vastly wrong, and I wouldn't listen to anything they ever tell you again.

Also if something is not in stock on www.WCcaraudio.com you can check one of his other online retailers.

There are companies that buy in excessive amounts and may have stock on a particular item.
