not too bad, but dont forget about buying a motherboard

What did you put an A/C right next to your computer?
Close enough. A lot of empty mountain dew cans made for a lot of empty boxes which made a square tube that went from my a/c in the window, to the 2 side panel intake fans on my case.

If you want to get your pc cold. use a air conditioner lol.. Ive done it and kepy my case chillin!! It was a while ago i did it, but it kept me entertained for a lil bit.
You wont see water getting your pc that cold

Custom building your own cooling kit is the best way like everyone said.
www.xoxide.com offers great products most the time, but are higher priced on somethings..
sign up here and start readingand just my opinion, but I think you will find a lot more info on overclocking and cooling and whatever else at www.overclock.net.

I got charter 10meg now. Just orded it this morning at 6am when I seen a commerical. Im paying $59 for 10meg dl and 1meg ul.
heres mine.
for some reason chi is slower for me, but MI across the lake is faster...
From MN, which is way farther away from me then Chi is...
I think I may buy a matching cable modem to match my router, the one I currently have is old.

ive posted how much they were like 70 times here, in another thread. and you do need around 24,000 watts RMS to get one loud.
theres a guy with 4 Z2's on 1 woofer, so hes got 8 Z2s total and 2 of the 18Z's
4 Z2's at 18 volts makes like 8K watts. so you do the math -D
Subs RMS is 15,000.
Alan dante is who your talking about, but I heard a rumor that he has took out the dd amps and is using stetsom 7ks now.
And the z2 does put out 8200+ @ 1.15 ohms with 18volts, but who says he is running his amps at that? They are probolly running .5 or .75 ohms. So up that wattage a little bit more
Price here are euro, but you can use a currency converter for ruff Ideas even tho prices will still be a tad bit higher because of euro shipping charges and what not. So probolly knock a good $500 off the total once converted to us money. http://www.soundpressure.com/products3.asp?R=DD1&L=1

I spy Spl Dynamics. Money well spent! What kinda number did that hit?

thats part of the game, make money. a lot of companies wont even offer you a recone kit nothing new here.
Thats why you dont buy from a overpriced company that produces junk.
Thats why you do buy from real companys, dd, treo, fi, rd, orion, and the list goes on that offers recone kits for their $500+ subs.
I laugh everytime I see someone with JL.. and a few other companys too.

heres a pic from their display!
That picture actully makes it look nice. The one on DD's site does not do it justice at all.
-
then when you order the sub is a extra 50 bucks. Either way its 50
-
How much extra is it to get DD to put the cf dust cap on when you order the woofer
Its 50 bucks for the carbon fiber dust cap. Installation on it would be included with the recone.
how does one recone a sub from a 12 to an 18?? or an 18 to a 15?? it confuses the hell out of me??You send your speaker in. You tell them what you want, they take the 6 screwes holding the basket to the motor out and put on a new baskets. So during the recone you are getting a complete brand new sub except for the motor.
-
for a recone? or for like a whole woofer, cause i know the option for the compostie cone is $300 by itself
for a recone. I heard about 250 for the cones but wasnt sure. I keep forgetting to call them and find out. I just know to recone my 12 into a 18 is 130, so probolly about 480 then with the dustcap, but that still beats gonig and buying a new 18.
-
the 9500s with the compostie color cones is $900 each i wanna say.
and the wood grain woofers is the 9100 series, SQ woofer, ultimate SQ woofer, and are more expensive then the 9500's by $100 - $150
Yea, but that is new. Got any idea on just the kevlar cone alone?
-
I honestly think they look cheap. The woodgrain looks to bright in color. if it was something darker, and have more grains or whatever it be kinda cool. Im thinking for my recone Im just doing red kevlar, or I can just get my 12 reconed to a 18 for $130..
They been out for a while. They use to show it on the site and then they took it off again, I just no seen it again either this morning or last night ( i forget).

I had my 9915 in a ported box approx 3.2 cubes after displacement. It slammed! 147.2dB in my station wagon at 40hz! Small is good despite what people say..
Anger: 2 x Digital Designs 9915 dual 1ohm
Force: Digital Designs Z1a Amplifier
Yea, and you had a nice chunk of power going to that one 15 too 6000+ rms?
After displacement I think I was around 3.5 cubed then I ended up inverting my port, and chopping a lil more then a inch or so off my port and I heard a big difference.

U like the samsung?
I really do! Very nice tft.
I see u are too lazy to remove the ugly stickers from it haha
And no, dont how it works with linux, never worked with it.
I love, going from my old 19" lcd with a 30 ms respone time, down too 2ms with this monitor. Its flawless. Only thing Im not use to is if you dont look at it right, the top 1/8 of the screen seems darker. If i wouldnt be all leaning in my chair like i do it be fine.
And i did move my stickers. I switched sides with them, other wise the vista (garbage) tag was hanging in the view of the screen. This is my second one. First one was dead, only vga worked and not dvi so I returned it. No complaints with it at all!!

carpets???
People use dynamat, hushmat, stinger road kill. Not to mention some other cheaper priced alternitives called peel and seal which is used for roofing. Its all pretty much sound deadening. It quiets the road noise, and helps to stop small rattles. It also seals up your car pretty good to keep the air pressure in your car making you a little louder.
My buddy has a 1993 190 E class, and that thing is hard to get it loud. It looks like yours is a bit newer tho.
Is this medical box on the rear deck of the car?
-
Are you sure that slanted box is over 4 cu/ft? it don't look that big??
The wedge/slanted/truck style box he said is 3.5 cubed sealed.
It looks to be about 30" wide by 20" high by 14" deep on the bottom and 4" deep on the top
-
its alright herrie, Ill just have to own you with this..
a picture of smd on BassJunkie's computer viewing herrie v's computer viewing white boi's computer, veiwing herrie v's computer, on my computer biggrin.gif Did I do that right? lol
And then on the bigscreen too! It took me a few minutes how to get both screens in 1 pic, then i thought about turning my monitor to face the same way as the tv. god im stupid, it took me like 5 minutes to think of that.
And if you know how to pull up smd on my linux box let me know cuz I can try to get that on my 15"lcd on my dell server
-
The ports are 6inch ports
heh I just looked at the pics, reading is for the women
143db in a geo metro...
What kinda car are you putting this into anyways?
-
i tried the up and port back , but there does not seem to be hard enough kick .
i think the entry level dd's rely on reflex off the trunk
What box did you use that you where able to try it with sub up port back? whats the boxs specs?
Like someone else said I also think building a new box for the sub is your best bet. How much power are you putting to this sub? Im pretty sure its only a single coil either 4 or 2 ohm and I got no idea what your using for an amp or the power it puts out at 2 or 4 ohms.
as for relying on the trunk. That can be true for any sub. But you had 4 15s, and you are dropping down to one 15, its going to be hard to get it sounding like it did with 4 subs which is what your use too.
New box gets my vote.
5 cubed
tuned too 40hz - 37hz min (dd uses this note for reason, and my 12 didnt come alive til I chopped my port shorter)
and try for at least 70 square inches of port.
sub up, port back
45 all the corners and you should be set.
A box will make or break your system.

damn it! I wanted to see more! lol
Liquid Cooling
in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
Posted
They dont hold cold air, they where just "directing" cold air into the side of my case, the cooling temp screen shot proved it. 18 degrees C for the processor, and 11degrees C for the mobo temp. I had all the mt dew boxes taped together with packaging tape. This was back in the mean green days a few years ago, I was able to get very creative with stupid things.
