  1. I thinkyou can't go wrong with any of those choices. You have to take into account the company and how theywillback you. Are you going to compete?are you serious? or you just looking to be the loudest kid on the block? what's it going in? what kind of power? tunning? theres a lot more to it than one perfect sub. if that was the case then all you would see is (Insert brand sub) here

  2. Looks good man...Here in FL any lights that look like emergency vehicle lights= illegal/off road use only.

    Cleared today.

As always the Marker lights were shown to be HID. while my turn signals were and always has been white. ( what the ticket was for) The blue rear plate lights were deemed ok in color. Those are LEDS and have a true white, slightly blue color. I explaned the difference in lighting when you talk about colors and temptures. Higher the temp the closer to white and sometimes blue you get.

    Thanks guys

looking through the codes for CA it doesn't say anything about blue or emergency lights. However it does clearly say you cannot have red to the front of a vehicle. It also says that driving, rear, tail, turn, and headlights must be standard colors. Nothing about marker or accent lights.

I've been down this road with my neons and won in court. I've also had to fight the lumi logo on the rear of the truck and won that one also.

it's worth a day to go and piss in someones coffee over it :innocent:

        *  Blue and yellow headlights. Headlights must be white - blue and yellow are illegal (24011 VC). Look for the DOT symbol on the bulb and package.

        * Headlights brighter or higher wattage than those from the factory. You may be able to see better, but the lights are illegal (24011 VC).

        * Tail lights other than red (24600 VC).

        * Illegal brake lights. Brake lights on vehicles newer than 1979 must be red (24603 VC). (Vehicles older than 1979 may be red or yellow.)

        * Lack of rear reflectors. Two red reflectors are required on the rear of cars and trucks (24607 VC).

        * Incorrect color of turn signal. It must be white or yellow to the front, red or yellow to the rear (24953 VC).

        * Red lights to the front. They are illegal except on emergency vehicles (24003 VC).

        * Tail lights that incorporate a bulb with a red tint or coating. In general, custom tail lights that incorporate a clear outer shell and red inner lens are legal (24011 VC). If they don't incorporate reflectors, they must be added to the vehicle (24607 VC).

        * Tail lights that are too dim, washed out or show yellow, white or other colors (24600 VC).

        * Illegal color of side marker lights. If present, must be yellow in the front and red in the rear (25106, 24003 VC).

        * Driving with just parking lights on (24800 VC). Vehicles that have factory-installed automatic daytime running lights must meet federal requirements and are legal.

        * Illegal decorative lights (24003 VC). All flashing decorative lights are illegal (25250 VC).

        * Illegal windshield washer nozzle lights. Only white or yellow are allowed. (25106 VC, 24003 VC).

        *  Lights attached to tire valves (24003, 25250 VC).

        * Lighted license plate frames (unless red) (24003 VC).

        * Illegal lights, whether or not they are operating. It is illegal just to have them on the vehicle (24003 VC).

    good lucki hope you win

  4. For those looking into protecting there shit. Here's what I've been using.

Cheap cameras: Harbor Freight Tools has them for about 30 bucks Get the Black and White not the color. I've had mine out working for about 3 years now and haven't lost one yet ( got 6 running )

There are plenty of DVR cards that you can buy on E-bay and what not. I've ran a few and some are better then others. The main thing you wanna look for is FPS or IPS. this will tell you how much the DVR will capture. The higher the number the more frames you will get per second.

Full Motion is 30 FPS. You can go as low as 15 FPS and not notice much of a difference. Anything less then that, don't bother. Cards will say things like 120FPS, that will be for all the cameras total. So if you take that 120 divide that by say 4 then you will have 30FPS on each camera Take 120 and divide it by 8 then you get 15FPS and so on.

Hard drive space that is used will depend on size, frame rate and how many cameras will be on it so it's hard to say how much space it will take up. I recommend that the computer be separate from your everyday system as it will slow it down big time.

The other option is to use a time lapse VCR these are easy to find and for cheap. unless you have a multiplexor you will only get one channel or recording.

Multiplexor. Usually in 4, or 9 channels this allows you to see and record all channels onto one source.

Lastly when using B&W cameras look into Infrared lighting, Also cheap to get on E-bay and what not these will allow you to see in the dark. They only work on black and white cameras not color. Very nice to have if the lighting sucks where you want to record.

  5. I've ran the mtx's and lanzar's and the Ma Audio's I by far have been impressed with the MA's still got them screaming in the truck today. The MTX's were fine and I didn't get much time with the lanzars. Quick and go install. Never dealt with the hifonics yet. RF's are a good second choice to the Ma's for me

  6. I say it's a true ground pounder if ya ain't got a wall.  Maybe some day I'll qiut messin around and get loud

I agree with you on that but for some ppl its their only option.

I'm not going to say a wall is easier but it's over 15 feet from Dash to my back window. Dasalottaair it there to get loud.

  7. no...it has to do with the size of the port..

allrite thanks man. so bigger the port the lower the bass? or opposite of that...?

I think you should find a good shop to build you a box. Boxes are fun and easy to do but can be expensive when not done correctly. There is a lot more then takin said subs, puttin them a box , cuttin a hole, and gettin it to wang.
