I haven't heard or seen anything from Nolte in a good long time now.
-
I too have heard good things but their unreasonably expensive, like $1000 for a pair of components, in my book that's way to much for some damn door speakers.
SQ and loud are different things...
if you want SQ, you HAVE to pay for it.. 98% of the time..
my dad wants to run a SQ setup, and hes going to end up doing a full morel setup in his 300zx Brian.. once he does it, ill let you know how they sound, but you will have yours before him
That's not entirely true. You can have a very good SQ setup up for a reasonable amount of money. I compete in a comp class against some of the best. I mean hell, the guy I lose to is a Grammy award winning sound mixer for Lucas Films. Sure they have some points on me in the lanes, However I have about 1/4 invested then they do too. If even that much. And to the every day average ear, you can't distinguish the difference in the cars over all sound to justify the price. It is no different in SPL, the only time it counts to be the best is in the lanes cause 99% of the other people who will ever listen to your car will never know the difference.

Key king how much damp pro did you buy to do that job?
It took 4 Shop Packs of Damp Pro and Has 10 Sheets of LLP. I still have plans to order up some overkill pro to finish it off

Quite a few amps will have a click on and off. This is the relays working inside the amp. This is normal, especially in larger power amps.

Jigsaw, Pencil, straight edge, large compass, tape measure, or 3 and a screw gun with #2 tip and a few drill bits is all you really need to build a box. I built boxes for many O years with just these things. Everything else you add will make your life easier but aren't necessary

WOW, I missed this thread. Better late then never. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has voted, and even more so for the ones who voted for me. There is plenty of good names on this list as well as the other sites, so I expect SS to have one hell of a team. Makes me excited to finish a few projects around here.

I bought a Skilsaw 10" off craigslist 10 years ago for 40 bucks. Still works like a champ. It bogs down a little on thicker hard woods even with a good Diablo 80 tooth blade. But MDF isn't an issue. I added the biesemeyer BC50 fence to it and I have a very nice table now. When It does go out, I will be looking for a 12" with a blade brake

JL's site gives you diagrams for 5 and 6 sub setups.

More than likely because they are well known now so they have figured out if people want to run there product that bad then they are able to jack up the price a little and make a little bit more money off the product.
I dont think it has anything to do with the price of materials going up. Because as everyone knows this company has taken off like no other. So unlike a year ago or so they are able to by parts in even more mass quantity so that means that it is costing them less.
Every new business does the same thing most people just dont notice it. Demand goes up and the price slowly sneaks its way up as well. They are in this business to make money not to give sh1t away.
I can bet ya that the price increase do to the "cool factor" isn't anywhere close to the actual raw material price increases. Everyone might want to keep a better eye on the raw material prices in relation to our economy and over seas suppliers.
If anyone thinks ANY of these internet based brands are flushed with cash, then I suggest you jump on the cash wagon and do it yourself.
-
The company I work for also buys raw material and we have seen a 20% increase over this time last year.
Plus Rusty has a hooker & blow habit

WOW BRO. Might be one of the best CL scores EVAR!

Do you think they would fit a 91?
No idea. I don't work with the same type of car with different years enough to remember what is different from Gen to gen. Best bet would to measure the sppace you have to work with to see if they would fit.

Newer Accord. Maybe 09ish

If you read the description, you will see that they say to message them when requesting custom colors or print when you place your order. So I would suggest you message them with your auction number

I'll look at the link when I'm not on muh phone. Splitting the dvr's work to cover a few buildings is a great way to save, but keep in mind your distance lengths. Depending on the camera and system, your cable distances may degrade signal. Repeators and remote power boxes can add up. Twisted pair and coax both have their advantges. Another thing to consider is light the more of it you have and the easier it is to see a place has cameras, the less likely people will mess with a place. My house is lit up like daylight at night and I make it very clear where my camera domes are.

To be honest bro, If you don't spend the money on a camera that has the quality to show a great picture, then you are literally throwing your money away. there is nothing more frustrating then having something happen, seeing the video, and NOT seeing who it was.
I would suggest a camera like this.
If you are looking for day AND night coverage, then you want a color and B&W combo. B&W are great for at night. Yes they are pricey. My best advise is to have him build up the system as he has money for it.
DVR's are easy and cheap to get. Find one that plays back AND records. Dont accept anything less then 30 FPS PER Channel. Very important. All other features are user preference
