  1. Sup guys, My name is Jan and i'm from West Seneca, New York. I work at Advance Auto Parts and i am the resident bass nut. Not tootin my own horn cause i know there are other people who know a helluvalot more than I do, but i get a fair amount of people coming in asking me about how to wire this or what battery to use and what not. If anyone is in the Western New York area, stop by and look me up, always lookin for someone to talk this kinda stuff with, since most of the guys at my store don't know that much. they usually refer their customer to me if it's an audio question since i pretty much breath this stuff even when i'm at work haha. Anyways, thanks Steve and Dom, now i know how to truly test someone's alternator the correct way, who knew they were teaching me wrongly, i know better now, THANKS SMD!!

  2. now now, no such thing as a stupid question but the truth lies within the answer, if you want more bass you have to go with 4 more 15's. Plus if you are like me and are lookin for shock factor, 8 15's looks way more sick than a pair of 18s, even though that's the rage these days i guess.

  3. I compared a couple numbers between the optima and the powermaster and of course the powermaster did come out on top, but if you look back at Steve's civic buildup, he used the optima group 31 in the trunk, which threw me off since everything else is using powermaster. But thanks for the information and opinions, keep them comin cause i'm still on the fence.

  4. I'm gonna be running around 4000 watts rms and need to figure out my battery setup. I've been looking at Powermaster and Optima, specifically the Group 31 batteries. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me which one, either the XSD3100 by powermaster or the D31 by optima would work better. I have a 200 amp alternator in the works and i'm already running 1/0 power wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
