  1. yea I looked at both places and came up with people charging the same as online lol. So I guess I will get a hard one from undercover its like 500+ plus thats all I got.. and another thing its all black, will that match a charcoal gray truck or will it look stupid?
  2. damn, so would online or in a store be cheaper you think? and what are some good affordable brands?
  3. yea I read, I guess they are a no go. did you read my other question? what you think?
  4. damn...but the ones in stores are like 5-600 dollars im sure. and I need a hard top right? or can I do a supported soft top, like a hinged one that has supports going through it?
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ABS-Hard-To...sspagenameZWDVW im looking into a hard cover thats inexpensive but still good quality for a blowthru I amy be doing. would this fit the bill? everything seems to check out
  6. you have a 9 day week? that must suck...lol am i missing something??
  7. well the vest does help because you have to do the test in turnout gear tank and all, so the vest is so I get used to doing thing under a load..
  8. I plan to do just that, but with the weighted vest except for the running part. I want to be the top or close to it because they only take the students with the best score on the written and best times on the fire test so thats what im stresing about. Im not stressed wondering if I can do it, I know I can, I just want to do it faster than everyone else ya know?
  9. good thing I talkd to my dad before bought that weight vest! he told me he has a weight vest from scuba diving and a weighted belt too! woot free shit FTW! 40lb vest and 10lb belt..PERFECT!
  10. saw the edit and I might do a lil bit of light jogging without teh vest on as my cool down
  11. a very well thought out post thank you for that. allthough a sand bag in front of you is a good way to injure your back.
  12. http://www.mirweightedvest.com/weightedves...t.asp?id=mir70s theres teh firefighter vest as they call it.. fully customizable, it can go from 1.5 lbs to 70
  13. well see heres the thing about distance running and firefighting. they dont go together. On scene they do not run for 2 miles to get to a fire. they sprint short distances to get things in a hurry in full turnout gear. hence the vest. Thats why i didnt add that. plus all the stadiums and power walking will suffice for cardio especially with teh vest..
  14. oh and I also plan on wearing the vest around the house whenever possible doing chores ect.
  15. no thanks, im not talkin about supplements. IM talkin about different core strenght workouts using the vest..
  16. Im enrolled in the central florida fire academy to become a firefighter/EMT. I already have my EMT license and have had it for a while now woking for polk county EMS. Anyways I moved to St.cloud and their fire and EMS are consolidated into one, so to make a long story short I have to go back to get my FIre standards (Ive always wanted to anyways). Prior to getting a seat we have to take a test clled "fit for fire" proving we will make it through the course. it consists of the following: Stair Climb – Carry a 100-foot, 13/4 inch hose bundle weighing appoximately 45 pounds from ground level up stairs to the fourth floor and then back down again, touching every step on the way up and down. Force Entry – Move a metal log weight from one end of a 60-inch sled to the other by striking it with an eightpound sledgehammer, while straddling the log. Hose Advance – Drag two 50-foot sections of dry 3-inch hose that have been looped together a distance of 100 feet. Ladder Fly Hoist – Fully extend and then lower the fly section of a 24-foot ladder that is held in place against a wall. You do not balance the ladder, you merely raise and lower the fly. SO with that being said I am getting a weighted 70lb vest from MiR and I already have an idea on workouts im going to do to get ready for it and they are Power walks sprints Stadiums im gonna get our 8 pound sledge and practice moving a big log with it pull ups and push ups anything else I should hit? (no gym please) Im going for core strength here I have 4 weeks before the test
  17. prolly not the best idea to start a motor vehicle in an enclosed garage lol. cool bike none the less. Im scared of them because Im an EMT for PCEMS and they scrape people up after those accidents sometimes +900 on teh helmet thing

  22. My GF turns 21 in 3 months and I plan on taking her the local gun shop and letting her pick her gun (she wants one for home protection and concealed carry later down the road) she doesnt live in the best of neighborhoods and I feel scared for her when im at work because she lives by herself and is by no means a big girl, 110 lbs tops. Not only that but I will plan to enroll us into shooting classes for personal defense, I can only teach her so much about handling a gun. Thanks st86diesel for the suggestion about enroling.
