  1. This seems to be more confusing then I thought it would be. I'm hoping that the answer is written somewhere so we can have a definite answer.
  2. I think that if I was to place it at the blue, it may not use the whole enclosure as most air would be forced out of the port before the rest of the enclosure was used. I am not 100% sure though, I was hoping for more responses to this question but I suppose not many are familiar with the question at hand.
  3. So you can see why I am confused. My last install I placed the subwoofer where the green is and I didn't notice any problems, the only reason I am looking into this is because I want to know for sure as I have never placed it where the blue is. I don't want this enclosure to be the ginnie pig of experiments, I want it to be the final enclosure........till I get bored again. I suppose I should have done a poll on what one to choose.
  4. Well I am just about finished and ready to cut the hole out, any else want to chime in on where I should place the subwoofer? I like the idea Mick, we'll see if anyone else will post.
  5. Thats a horrible combination, hope you get better soon. When I have the flu I just drink sizzurp, lots and lots of sizzurp! j/k
  6. Anyone else know if it's better to have the subwoofer closer to the port?
  7. I am not concerned about cosmetic looks, I will have a grill over top of the subwoofer and port so you won't see either. I think they understood correct, I will hold off cutting the hole till I get some more replies.
  8. Hey guys, just wanted to know where on the enclosure I should place the subwoofer. I learned way back that it should go a port width away from the port, I have a diagram for any of you to help me with the sub location. Blue, green or in between?
  9. I'm sorry but I see way to many videos of this sh@#!!!! I would have whoooooooped that parking meter maid and his little bicycle friend, I have respect for police officers but not ones that have trouble taking down little kids that aren't even defending themselves. He needs to be fired so he can get a job doing what he does best, flipping burgers.
  10. I'd be the shop bitch, getting the coffee and all the running around. On top of all that I could do some installs here and there, build some boxes and such. Great job Steve, I love how this is going.
  11. You can try it, but I would recommend the sync cable. Are both their efficiencies the same?
  12. You will need the sync cable, each amp will pump out a different amount of juice and the subwoofer won't like it.
  13. GO DUKE!!!!! Not that I am a big fan but when I was 13 I had a Duke ball cap, I loved that thing.
  14. Would excursion have anything to do with it, I know my T2 looks like its going to leave the basket at 30hz.
  15. Looks like it will turn out great. I was looking at purchasing a Trailblazer and wouldn't mind trying this out if I get it, I love a custom look.
  16. I can't believe how many speakers your fitting into that door, speechless. So whats the word on the paint, still two toning it? I photoshoped some pictures of it for you on the Rockford site a while back, not sure if you remember.
  17. That's a good idea IH8PunkRok, they sometimes use those for hardrives, and in cd players I believe.
  18. LOL It's funny how we all have bad experiences with fast food joints, I think they should slow down just a few seconds and get it right the first time.
  19. I had no problems, but some will say that the bass could shake components loose. I think that there is enough bass throughout the car and if its good in one location then its good in another, except for under the hood of course.
  20. I went to Tim Hortons the other day, ordered an everything bagel toasted with herb and garlic cream cheese, and cucumbers, I know, weird. Can you believe that they stopped selling cucumbers because they weren't making any money off of them. How much do cucumbers cost nowadays? For a place that sells veggie sandwiches you would expect them to carry cucumbers. Oh well, I suppose a company that makes billions a year can't afford cucumbers that I, myself can grow in the backyard.
  21. LOL this sounds like how I feel sometimes. I hate how such a simple job turns into the most difficult mathematical equation. I also think its funny how the managers of the joint are like 12. I order 3 things and they get all confused and ask me to repeat myself, then they read me back the wrong order, in the background I hear the buttons being keyed in repeatedly and the frustration sets in. After about 5 minutes they finally get my order right and when I get up to the window they are all distraught, realizing they forgot to key something in. So they call for some help and then the little guy with the key comes over to reset the cash register. Now I got two people working together to complete my order, looking like they are performing heart surgery meanwhile my fries are already in the bag getting cold. Finally getting my order at the window, looking into the bag I realize, of course they gave me a small fry when I ordered a large, I should just go in there and give them a pat on the back for trying.
  22. Yup a clown I am, I used a router a few times when I was working at an audio shop but just never made it around to buying one for myself. Not only do they make the job flawless but it is done much quicker to. When building bandpass enclosures with a lexan window I used to take a 3/4 sheet of mdf and cut a window out, then I would bond that 3/4 sheet to another 3/4 sheet that had a smaller window cut out, something for the lexan to mount onto, hard to explain. What a pain that was, but worked out just fine.
  23. Wow that looks great. I suppose that its time for me to get a router, been holding off for 9 years now. There is only so much you can do with a jigsaw.
