They're not a beefy sub, but hopefully in groups of three they can do some damage...good sounding damage. Sensitivity is over 92db, so that's good for me as well since these are a low-power sub.

That is all that is needed.

Vid posted in OP...would have had it sooner but had to eat dinner.

Wish I still lived in north Frisco. PM me a price? -
Go with 7ft^3 and tune to your liking.
-
I'm tuned to 28hz and can play anything...Zeppelin included.

Product I'm looking for: I prefer Sundown, but am open to other simple, non-flashy amps as well...can't hurt to offer up. SAZ-2000D would be optimal. Budget: $250 down payment + up to $100 per week. Condition: Mint or new. Time Frame (if applicable): Whenever

Get a used 3kw at 1ohm amp for $400-500 if you're on a tight budget.

This is a box for Erik Jenkins of Jenkins Motorsports for a pair of Digital Designs 9518's going in the back seat area of a Chevy SS truck. The box is 12ft^3 with a 34hz tuning. The subs will actually be firing forward with the ports firing up. Hopefully he's happy with the results and comes back for more work.
-
Height times width. The length of the port depends on the opening size, volume of the box, and desired tuning frequency
-
I was just basing it on layout.

I'm confused as to what you're actually wanting out of this thread. The ideas with multiple ports and of different sizes is just not a good idea. The last one is an acceptable situation. Single port > multiple ports.
-
How much power will you be running to it? 3.5ft^3 with a 33hz tuning is a pretty standard box. A pair of 6" ports would be great, but they would have to be pretty long. A single 6" aero is the absolute bare minimum.
-
It's not goig to make that big of a difference. You'd be better off building a new box or adding more power to your current situation. Bigger box is probably your best bet.
-
I'd imagine it would be in the .25ft^3 area.

Opinions on new box for future build

Unless you're going to give them 2x rated power, there's no need to go with a box that small(I wouldn't do it anyways). There are no indications that the subs are optimal in a 1.25ft^3 box. Unless DC subs have found a way to defy the laws of the t/s parameters they post on their site, those subs would much rather be in 2ft^3 each with a low 30's tuning. With a mid level Qts and a Vas over 2.5ft^3, these are not small box subs. Especially since you're using a 500 watt amp, you can't afford to have these in a small box. Ever notice how DC raised the recommended volumes for nearly all of their models?
