    Here's a wall design for six 15's in 23ft^3 with a 34hz tuning. Who and what it's for is still on the low-down for now, but hopefully this will soon come to reality and coming to a city near you. The front and back are triple layered, everything else is doubled. There will be threaded rod added in certain places, and 2x4's all around the sides/top/back.

    Use big washers if you're using all thread so that you get the largest bracing point that you can.

    Double layering the entire box gives you 16.05ft^3 before sub and port displacements.

    Again, it depends on the organization you're in, but yes, it more than likely means you're going to be competeing with guys that have walls.

    I'd get your hands on some 1" MDF if possible. That'll give you some needed strength without killing your volume.

    You're going to need to double up the MDF all around the box for a pair of Level 5 18's with 3kw going to each...you may be able to survive with some all-thread and just a double baffle, but you definitely need the double baffle to give you more MDF to bite into.

    Your best bet would be to search in the classifieds areas on here and other forums. A lot of times you can find beefy APXX motored subs for around that price.

    Just finished this up. This is for a fellow youtuber by the name of g00dstuff101 for his pair of Crossfire XS 15" subs. This box is 7.75ft^3 with a 34hz tuning.

    You should have no issue porting a pair of 8's in a single cab. Let us know what kind of dimensions you're working with.

    Felt like making a little vid of the RE10 I got recently. I'm throwing about 400 or so watts to it via a bridged Alpine MRV1507 running at 8ohms. Forgive the quality, it's from my iPhone.

    Seems like it'd be something pretty hard to nail down in a program...it'll probably take a couple of boxes before you get it sounding the way you want. Unless you get lucky on the first one. Either way, I'm sure it'll be a good learning experience.

    Yes, t-lines can be tailored to sound a certain way by using fibrous fillers such as wool and poly-fill, placed at certain spots down the line, to kill upper end peaks and control boominess(if needed). T-lines generally sound very nice. They can dig down low like a ported box, but group delay is lower than ported so the sub is more agile and can better handle quick transient passages(from what I have noticed). They'd be a lot more popular if they didn't take up so much space.

    Yes, I hate having a right angled loading chamber...just doesn't work out right most of the time. I normally like to do an angled piece from the sub baffle to the start of the actual line so that the loading chamber has a gradual taper to it and acts less like there's a loading chamber there while still providing clearance for the woofer. I just couldn't in this case due to space constraints, so the big 45 had to do.

    Transmission line box for ace_800 at caraudio.com for his True Bass Solutions 8" sub. The line is tuned to 35hz, just under the sub's fs. This will be going in his 1966 Pontiac GTO.
