I'd definitely do a 4th order over that design.
-
Wouldn't work because the slanted back of the box will give you a different port height than the vertical face of the box.
-
Sounds like a bad box build if you're having stuff visually moving and flapping.
-
I'd stay in the 6-7ft^3 range.
-
Trunk car? Be happy if you break a 140 with that stuff. Still hard to tell without knowing exactly what's going on.
-
and its a 15"
Then do something in the 4-5ft^3 range tuned to 32-35hz. I can tell right now that your box is way too small.
-
Box is too small and port is too small...who knows what they're tuned to. Assuming it's a 12" L7, go with 3ft^3(after all displacements and a 32-35hz tuning.
-
box size, tuning, and port area always matter imo
Definitely.
-
Do a dodecahedron box.
-
well the lvl 2 8s run a little more than 100 i think cant tell you exact price not allowed too

Well I can tell right off the bat that you have way too little port area, which is killing your overall output. Follow the link in my signature if you want to submit a design request.

Basically you're going to have one sub moving more than the other at any given time, so you're going to reach the limits of that sub before the other. Either get a pair of matching subs, or just live with the fact that you're not going to get the most out of the setup because one sub will not be able to reach it's potential output.

Fi Q, with high Qts feature.
This too. Although without knowing what the specs are it's hard to tell what size box it would favor.

12" Mach 5 IXL SL
12" or 15" Dayton Reference HF
-
Subs will for sure be getting different power.
-
The fact that you have a trunk car already puts you at a disadvantage.
-
It could be tricky to get the extra volume in the bed to not be too restricted at the cut through point.
This. I'd not recommend doing a box like that...just too risky depending on how small the cut-through is going to be compared to the normal size of the box.

Buy as much power as you can afford and your car can handle. Headroom is always better than trying to get louder by pushing an insufficient amp past it's limits. Whether or not you'll need that much is irrelevant, you'll have it in case you do, and you'll have more power for future upgrades(which we know you'll eventually want). Find a good deal on a pair of M3's? Screw it, go for it. Dynamics, dynamics, dynamics...

Nothing to be overly concerned about.

100 square inches
The cone itself isn't 10"x10", and the Sd is 74.4in^2 for the 10" model.
-
and what is a solo x 12 area ?
144
It's 106.8in^2

I want to do a double baffle but im not sure yet. Ill see when I get there
I doubt you'll have the space to. A double baffle will kill a lot of box volume. Just mount some 1.5" wide MDF rings behind the sub cutouts so you have a beefed up area to screw into.

I was able to get 3.5ft^3 at 33hz, but port area isn't huge, 13.5"x4".
been waiting a few weeks now

I'd definitely contact them again after a few days...it's easy for an email to fall through the cracks.
