I prefer larger boxes as well for the bump in output below 40hz....seems to level things out and get rid of the annoying 50hz+ bass that I can't stand at high volumes. Tune low enough and you pretty much never have to worry about your sub(s) unloading below tuning(with music). Right now I'm running a single 10" Assassin(TC2+ motored) in 1.5ft^3 at 28hz...been using that box for a long time and love it.

~4.5ft^3 per 15 and ~6ft^3 per 18 and you'll be good, like already suggested.

You'll be fine if you run a pair of 6" aeros. If 7.13ft^3 is your gross volume, you should easily be able to get 6ft^3 after all displacements.

Are you prepared for how long that 8" aero is going to need to be for that low tuning?

I'd just save yourself the hassle and go with a pair. Trying to fit three will probably just do more harm than good anyways, like trying to fit 2lbs of shit in a 1lb bag.

Stay within this range and you'll be fine. But you may not have the room to do this.
Volume: ~7ft^3
Port area: 90-100in^2
Tuning: 30-33hz

I'm sure it'll be efficient since you're using a straight line with a lor of area, about 25% more than the sd of the woofer.

Anybody got some ideas that I could with 4 10's in the trunk. I want to try and seal it off but don't know how that would work. My trunk is 38.5 long and 18.5 high and 35.5 deep. Any help?
You have plenty of room to do four 10's in a BP back there...almost enough room for four 12's with the dimensions you provided.

The box you have right now is huge, especially for the power that you're running. What exactly do you feel is lacking with your current box? What vehicle is it in and how are the subs/port laid out?

I have a DataSafe battery that is nearly identical to the Batcap 2000, for $85 shipped to you. I have a buddy who is using it as his starter in his v6 Pathfinder and he says it's a tank. It's made by the same company that makes Stinger, Odyssey, Hawker, etc. batteries...very rugged and not cheap to say the least. It's over twice the battery that the HC600 is, in terms of the amount of power it can store. They're also designed for a quick discharge rate, which is definitely a plus for a car audio application.

Yet another box for Mr. Jess Berry. I can't even remember how many we have done together, but it's been quite a few. This one if for the all new Skar IVX 15's. Subs will be firing up with the port firing back in a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero. Lots of low-end output was desired, so a low tuning was provided.

Chamber Volume: 7.2ft^3
Port Area: 93.5in^3
Port Tuning: 28hz

I searched all over could'nt find nothing expect some pics he took on one forum where it was a trunk setup in a car in a spl box hitting a amazing 151db. Thats very good for a one sub setup in a car!
I've seen someone do better than that with a single 12" soundstream spl-x(TC-9 based 1kw sub) and 3kw in a Sebring...

Nearly anything can play well down to 25hz with the right box...it's really not hard to get low, since you're going to have to sacrifice overall output in order to do so. How much you have to sacrifice will pretty much be the only difference.
