  1. This box will be housing four(4) Skar Audio VVX-15 subs, and will be going in an Explorer with no rear seats. Since the customer will be using a fair amount of power, we decided to reduce the box size to 2.75ft^3 per sub in order to control the woofers better and put the extra power to use. The box is double layered all around, and a 3/4" round-over is applied to the port opening.

    Chamber Volume: 11ft^3

    Tuning: 30hz

    Dimensions: 41" wide x 20" tall x 48" deep

  2. I had made my solox box to have enterchangable ports but I never built another one. Lol I built my bandpass where the Acess panel to get the sub had a port on it where you could switch the ports. I built a 47hz and 50hz for it.

I've always liked the idea of having an interchangeable port, especially for a bandpass box. It also allows you to build new ports and fiddle with port area and tuning, and cheaply too.

  3. This box design was done for Joshua Longfellow and his pair of DC Level 5 15's. Tons of low-end bass was the goal, so what better way to do that than with a high ratio low tuned box? The sealed chamber is 3.5ft^3, and the ported section is 12ft^3 with tunings ranging from 33hz, 38hz, 43hz, and 52hz for spl burps. Alternate bracing methods and placement has been discussed, I thus threw a couple 2x2's in there for visual effect.

    4. What you are looking for: looking for 2kw+ at 1ohm(or 4ohms). Sundown 2k would be nice, but everything will be considered.

  5. Check out Vector chargers. I have used them for quite some time now and really like them. It's the same brand that Kinetik used for their chargers. Also, I have a big ol' Schumacher automatic charger with wheels that I got for $100 from Wal-Mart. It's does a really nice job.

Basically, just look for something that is "microprocessor controlled" so that it regulates voltage and such while charging.
