ARE YOU the one who bought up all the skar 15's >.<
Nah, not me. This is for a guy on caco.
-
This box will be housing four(4) Skar Audio VVX-15 subs, and will be going in an Explorer with no rear seats. Since the customer will be using a fair amount of power, we decided to reduce the box size to 2.75ft^3 per sub in order to control the woofers better and put the extra power to use. The box is double layered all around, and a 3/4" round-over is applied to the port opening.
Chamber Volume: 11ft^3
Tuning: 30hz
Dimensions: 41" wide x 20" tall x 48" deep

Has anyone else done the multi-port route like this before?
I have done multi round ports in a bandpass. I wish I'd done one single port later though...
Yeah, single port is much easier.
-
I had made my solox box to have enterchangable ports but I never built another one. Lol I built my bandpass where the Acess panel to get the sub had a port on it where you could switch the ports. I built a 47hz and 50hz for it.
I've always liked the idea of having an interchangeable port, especially for a bandpass box. It also allows you to build new ports and fiddle with port area and tuning, and cheaply too.

This box design was done for Joshua Longfellow and his pair of DC Level 5 15's. Tons of low-end bass was the goal, so what better way to do that than with a high ratio low tuned box? The sealed chamber is 3.5ft^3, and the ported section is 12ft^3 with tunings ranging from 33hz, 38hz, 43hz, and 52hz for spl burps. Alternate bracing methods and placement has been discussed, I thus threw a couple 2x2's in there for visual effect.
-
Tune in the 30-33hz area. You'll get lots of low-end output with those subs and a low tuning. I'm assuming that's what you were aiming for when you got them.

wall im guessing. I know that aint fitting in the trunk.
Yeah, it's the foundation for a wall.

Another design for Tyler Kelley, this one being for a pair of 15" Fi BTL N2's. The box is 9ft^3 with a 33hz tuning via a healthy 37"x4" port. This will be going in a 2008 Malibu.

Get the 2" Aura Whispers and skip the need for a tweeter. Put a pair or more on each side, cross them around 300hz, and run a dedicated 8" or 10" mid on each side. At least, that's what I was going to do...

It's a '72. I do love the '66-'67 though, and had a '70 with a SB400 for a little while...it was a POS besides the motor.

This is a design for one of my favorite cars of all time, the Chevelle SS. Final volume is 2.5ft^3 with a 32hz tuning via a 12"x2.5" port. As you can see I had to create a little dead space on each side of the port to kick the volume down a little. The original plan was to do a bandpass, but there just wasn't enough room.

thats alot of batteries imo..... you have collected them over the years?
I buy them from a local company. Then I load test/recharge/load test/recharge to ensure they function properly.
Coolness

Either option will work just fine.
Yes!

The customer wanted lots of output from 25-45hz, so a low tuned bandpass was in order. The subs being used are DC Audio Level 5 15's, going in a 1995 Explorer.
Volume: 3ft^3 sealed, 8.5ft^3 ported
Tuning: 40hz
Dimensions: 43" wide x 20" tall x 40" deep

Depending on power, I'd do a 10-12ft^3 common chamber ported box with 160-180in^2 of port. Tune in the lower 30's and prepare to wang.

After really liking Revo1 and Revo2, I didn't like his 3rd World album...hopefully this is better.

I have a practically NIB Eclipse EQ1000 that you might be interested in. Old school goodness, looks like it has never been used.
-
Just curious, but why didn't you do a normal slot port?

Check out Vector chargers. I have used them for quite some time now and really like them. It's the same brand that Kinetik used for their chargers. Also, I have a big ol' Schumacher automatic charger with wheels that I got for $100 from Wal-Mart. It's does a really nice job.
Basically, just look for something that is "microprocessor controlled" so that it regulates voltage and such while charging.

Who wants to build a sealed box for me, I'm too lazy right now.

Depending on exactly what subs and box specs you're using, a 33-35hz tuning will work well for what you're wanting to do.
