  1. So I installed my first alarm on my car (Viper 791XV FTMFW!) and it works no problem. I stick to the directions and take extra time checking and re-checking each line with a multimeter to make sure its the right one. Yeah its a little much, but Id rather do it right the first time without having to re-wire. I installed my second alarm on my Ma's rav4 which needed a Immobilizer. wiring went fine, everythings tucked. Works fine, but every month or so, the fuse to the ignition line on the alarm busts, and of course the car wont start. all I did was replace the fuse, thinking a one time thing. But it happened again. I dont want to just put a higher amp fuse in cuz I dont want to fry anything in brain. It came with a 2amp fuse....which I didnt even know they made.....So obviously that wire is gettin too much power at some point. but I cant figure out why it takes a good couple weeks to a month for it to happen. Any ideas?

  2. my goal is to find a way to squeeze two alts in my accord....it will happen one of these days...not saying antime soon, but i got a couple of idea floatin around...

damnit! would squeezing 2 in be difficult/impossible for a 95 accord too? cuz if I can't, this seriously f**ks with my plans! sorry dont mean to thread jack...

  3. dude if your goin to spend all that money on competitions i think it would be wise of you to get the rule book BEFORE you DO ANYTHING. makes sense huh. if you want to waste alot of money please feel free to send me a couple G's and i'll score your ride for ya.

it does make sense. But if you look at the title, it says "off the top of your head" which means that it would take more time thumbing through the rule book looking for a specific rule, then posting a question on here and getting responses from people who know the answer already. Thanks everyone

  4. I was wondering if it was legal in the IASCA competitions, (bassrace, SPL) to have a blowthrough port going from the trunk to the cabin. I was thinking it would be a good idea to get more bass in the cabin, but I wanted to go to competition next summer and didnt want to do extra work that I couldnt use later. The port would most likely be through the rear deck. Thanks.

  5. great story man! Im in downtown detroit sittin in a little caesars waitin for my pizza when this crackhead comes in, stands next to me, and starts talkin about how the place is racist cuz the tiles on the floor are black and white....I just smiled cuz I barely heard wtf she was saying.....then she poked my shoulder, says "oh but you must be a racist mfer too!" and leaves......no idea what that was but my roommate and I laughed for a while about it.

  6. hey names Paul. From NY but going to school in Detroit. Been in car audio for about 5 years now, and worked as an assistant in a pro shop in Philadelphia. I know some of you guys from another forum so I figured Id sign up here too. All my projects are on hold cuz of school, but will be starting again in december. Started fiberglassing about a year back and looking to turn my daily driver into a show to enter in one of next summer's IASCA competitions to see how I stack up against the pros.
