The mileage is a lil high at 143,000 but it is a SOLID truck. They kept great care of it and maintained the shit out of it, they gave us a 3ring binder 2inches thick with all the maintenance recipes in it. And they just had the tranny rebuilt 16,000 miles ago. Here's a picture. We bought it 6 days ago.
Edit- the gas mileage is showing that I get about 14 while I'm doing around town but the tires are a lil larger than stock so I'm not sure how accurate that is. But the window sticker (which they gave us!) shows 13-18 city and 18-23 highway I believe.
fuck you and your black tahoe lol. there was ligit NO black hoes around me. always wanted a murdered out car now i gotta settle with a tn and black combo. ughh i wanna get a paint job so bad but flat black is kinda expensive lol.

Sorry for the thread jack, but what makes it better to have higher pre out voltage? I've always wondered but never have found out.
Besides not having to turn the gain on the amp up higher, the higher the prevolt output the less chance you will hear the musics floor noise threw the speakers.
When you say "the musics floor noise" what do you mean by that? I've never heard that term used before.
i think he means like the engine noise you can get through your rca cables, its like a constant fuzz in the background of the music, but usually if you run your power and rca cables on opposite sides of the car you get very minimal if any
I'm pretty sure that engine noise is from having a ground loop. I think what he is referring to is different than engine noise.

Yea I just got a 2003 chevy Tahoe fully loaded with the 5.3L, all leather, 3rd row seat, 4x4, with brand new bf goodrich tires for $9000. The exact one I got on Kelly bluebook is right around $11,500 so the deals are out there, you just gotta look around.

Nice! I love rangers, I had a 94' that laid out on 20"s I also had a blow through with (4) 12"s in it. Too bad they were shitty speakers lol. You have any plans on lowering or bagging yours?
-
By all means go for it, just make sure your confident in your abilitys. There are plenty of guys here willing to help with enclosure designs.
-
Are you going to be doing all of the install yourself? If you are then make sure you do alot of research here in the forums to understand what it takes to make a system like that happen. It isn't hard, just alot of things that go into making it right, otherwise your gonna spend alot more in replacing things and redoing things.

If you only got like 10 cubes you might wann think about runnin 15s. Cause after displacements with the 18 your not gonna be at 10 cubes anymore and I think that's a bit small for the 18s
Edit- just looked at the FI website and it says recommended ported enclosure for the btl n2 is 4.5-8 cu ft. So you may be alright afterall
-
For a BTL, your looking at about 480 fully loaded and I don't think that covers shipping. An AQ 3500.1d goes for about 800 I believe and that's a decent amp to power the BTLs.

Hey as long as the customer is happy, thats what counts! but I would have to agree that it does look just "placed" there. Im a big fan of flush mount speakers.
-
And plus, how do you know that the previous owner didnt send a clipped sgnal to them subs? Im always affraid to buy used speakers off CL you just never know.
edit-what are you trying to improve on? sound quality? loudness? there may be a good reason to trade, but if your looking to "hit hard" I think the DC's will be better for that, assuming they are in the right enclosure.

Yeah, I think my car is ready for 30,000w. I already got two 10's, so...
What a noob... 30k isnt anuff. 10s cant excurt like 15s can and they dont cjange box size like 15s do. Get one 15 and 64,900 watts to each coil and your good.
But only if you tune to 30hz.

Yea I know it's the junk drawer, I knew what you were getting at with you OP I just had to give you a hard time cause it was worded a lil funny But yea YouTube is full of idiots, they see Steve's vids and well...

Nice! What amp is that you have runnin them?
-
Nice! Those black wheels are gonna set it off for sure! Can't wait to see what's next.
-
Oh I gotcha, yea it sounds manageable then.
-
For me, that would be the determining factor. I wouldn't want to move somewhere that I could not drive. Especially when I have two jobs. That makes life pretty tough.
-
How long before you can get you DL back in MO?
-
Damn that's alot more than I was expecting!
