just is the video accurate, or is any false information provided that should be corrected.
If there was, quick scan through the comments on youtube usually has them brought up/
wouldn't classify them as experts. thats why i posted
Yeah but if there is something, you can just go google it to check for sure
why use google, when i have the best trusted audiophiles in the world right here?

yup that works for all subs regardless of size. always the loudest. exactly the specs butler uses
if you want real help try not being vague
what would be the disadvantages of this setup?
Which subs, on what power, in what vehicle?
and they are 12" L7s(going to be 2, so using this enclosure, 4.2 after displacement), going to be ran at 1700 RMS 1 ohm. Going in the trunk of a 96 ES300

what are you asking? you just posted a video thats been posted on here before
read the description before yu even enter the thread
what description? if you're talking about the topic description, there is a bug where it doesnt show up correctly while viewing the thread when using the default smd theme. use the actual reply box to ask questions. but yes, its accurate.
wasn't aware lol. Thankks
be more specific please.

You'll be fine if you're not playing full blast long. I would get a volt meter along with those equipment and monitor voltage drop. If you're dropping too low, a decent second battery should be help.
Luckily my radar detector has a voltmeter on it
you want voltage of the amplifier, not the stock location battery.
i forgot lol

for peak performance for loudness
2.1 cuft/sub
tuned to 38-40 hz.....!?

I have run similar systems with 80a alt, and had bad voltage drop into the 11s.. Nothing shut down or anything, but I needed a output alt for sure. Plus I'd use an extra batt in back, and if you got the money I'd go AGM front and back.
Got AMG in front.

GROUND THE HEADUNIT!! and whatever amp you have. my HU is a B**** to ground. Its whines even after 2 GLIs and a added ground. you cant ground using factory ground. that is for a low powered factory head unit. More power = More Ground.

I have a 96 ES300 w/ stock 80A, and I'm going to get a rebuilt 170A alt, and currently running a Deka 9a34 under the hood. Going to be doing the big3 as well, with all 1/0 wire, +running to the back
Build:
2 Kicker L7s 12s running from,
Brutus 1700.1D CEA-comp
800a4 running only 320 for components @ 4 channel

I think I will be good, I just want to get some opinions on it.

1. Your alternator is weak, its time for an upgrade
2. if you are running a small gauge wire, then it may not be getting the sufficient amount of current.
-
good choice on the switch. i have l7's curently and they sound like shit... they were free so who am i to complain
what do you have them tuned at?
if you are looking at a 1k kit, i would def look else where than kicker. I only run kicker, because I can get a great deal from locals. I.E 2 L7s for $200. working on a box build now. Putting them in a 96 ES300, and my middle armrest lets down. Also, kind of vented the deck a little.

what do you think? open to suggestions.

Good start, but you need more port area. And 6 cubic feet is a bit much for 12's. Are those your max dimensions?
These are my max diminsions. could go a little bigger though. But street bass for l7s are 2.5, spl is 3.25 (per sub). i just want to go with the middle. But 6cuft us big for some round subs, but not for square.
-
dont l7's like space though? thats what ive read from here over the years. and yeah you need more port area. you're at 8.86sqin per cubic foot. raise it up to 14 or so. the port area and port area range numbers on the lower right side of the program should guide you.
What do you all mean by more port area, how can i increase it and still keep my tuned setting. also, what is the rule of thumb for this?

This is going to be my first box build, just want to see what you all think of this. I'm open to suggestions. GRACIAS!

thanks guys for the quick response. i was wondering if it had anything to do with a SQ issue but nvm. better safe than sorry.
-
Can it just be straight? what is the importance of a bending port?
-
back off of the bass for a while, until you have found a good solution. you don't want to kill your amp or anything else due to low voltage.
-
where do you all stand on this company? i heard good reviews, but wanted individualized experience. pros, cons. it seems good for 300 for a 220 alt. i would need the import option, not too happy, but eh....how easy is the install on the universal alt?
