  1. They were a pre-order first, I have two that will be here in about a week, once there are released this month I believe they will be $185. I have two quarter wave length boxes for these for a ext cab 92 s10
  2. Yeah buddy from the moment i opened it it was earning it's keep in my tool box
  3. You gonna be at the shop Saturday evening? My son has a wrestling tournament Saturday in Woodland that should get out sometime between 3-5 depending on the turnout. I remember where you live and can swing by there if that works best for you, just let me know. PM me your number and I'll hit you up when we're leaving Woodland and we'll figure it out. i dont see a problem with that but like i said in the post above, they are coming on Saturday - but i dont know EXACTLY what time. You might wanna stay in touch - make sure i have them before you stop by. You still got my cell? Loving my DD-1, Like a fat kid loves cake man!! I've turned out 63 systems with it and made a killing, Cheers SMD'Amore Need that CC-1 like yesterday mt Helix needs a friend and the DD-1 is lonley, lol Sorry i thought i made a new reply i love hearing how you guys love the DD-1.......but i really love hearing about how some of you are MAKING MONEY from the DD-1!!! Its not just a toy, its a tool! Yeah man I fist saw this when you made your first video about it and saw $$$ on my screen, lol. I have all the tools to do these test with out it but i love whipping this out and using it i's more fun and I know it's on the money i already threw it threw a whirlwind to my O-scope and DMM. Knowing that when i see that LED i know it's the same thing i see in my wave, IDC who you are your not faster than this at "seeing" the distortion as this can and that gets me in an out of a car with the swiftness. I catch 10 per tune per amp and 5 for the radio, if anyone want's a idea on how to make quick cash with it, flat out the fastest turn around on a tool i have bought in years!

  5. I was just asked a question about the DD-1 and i was not sure how to answer it, here it is.. Q: My only issues concerning this is that clipping can occur before the distortion listed from the device, or so people say. Also, as voltage drops (which will happen when you have a load on the amplifier, not when it's just "on"), wouldn't clipping/distortion increase as the voltage dropped? I was not sure as to the algorithm used on the DD-1 will it pick up both in any order of detection, i asume it will. As for the voltage drop I told him it should not change the input signal just the output will fall but it shouldn't make for distortion seeing that the input is clean. could ya help me out on that, Ty for your time.
  6. Don't remember ever seeing anything about the Pink noise track and it's use with the DD-1, or i just missed it and didn't see it..
  7. actually nobody has paid MSRP yet.... I ment that by even paying msrp is still a deal imo, lol i like the, yet... part By the way Ty kind Sir, I was recording making a custom grill for my car and talking about how a shitty rainy day out it was when the FedEx guy pulled up with my DD-1 and the day was a bit brighter, FTW good shit bro!!! glad to hear!!!!! enjoy Yeah buddy, waiting on the CC to take up the other slot in the hard shell case i foamed up for these to stay safe and it looks badass when you pop open a hard shell foamed with the DD and the CC in it to do some tuning, serious look right there man. I have a few other pieces that do the same kinda stuff but these are worth the coin to have a quick accurate read in a killer looking tool, very straight to the point equipment, loving these new audio tools man. Hey keep pushing the bar man!!

  13. IDK about this clam, reason being is that ipods and other mp3/mp4 based devices are known to compress and basicly kill sound, so i wonder if the ipod or other is the best way to set the system. As well as every system is based around a head unit that well plays a cd so there should be no issue using the cd, It very well may be fine to use it but i don't have one a DD-1 to run tests on it with the two ways, cause if it is off by a little that can be enough to make an issue. Only trials will tell i guess, ya know.
  14. X2 Its a good question but no one wants to touch it? On the battery life: I've designed special circuitry that turns the unit "off" when it's off, meaning its not "sleeping" its actually very much off. So if not being used the battery would last as long as if it wasn't plugged into anything. When being used it depends; if it is just "on" but no signals are being examined it should last around 15 hours continuous. When signals are being injected into it, the run time would be less because the DD-1 is doing more work. If used in a shop for 10-15 minutes at a time, several times a day, it should last for months. We didn't design in a rechargeable system in order to keep costs down, and put the money into the design in more important places. If used in a very busy shop there is nothing stopping anyone from putting a rechargeable 9V in it, like this one My link Note however that rechargeable types have less capacity than a standard non-rechargeable alkaline battery, so it might have to be re-charged often. That is a wise decision Tony, it iw more important for the tools blueprint to be top than the power source though it is important none the same, i would rather it work better and die that work half ass and last forever, IMO
  15. Thanks man, my boy Juan Rodriguez and I have some time invested in it for sure. You, Steven, and everyone else on it knocked it out the park on this one guy, i need one yesterday is about the only thing left to say, respect!
  16. well there is a few people involved in it creation but i'm sure it was a good part Steven's idea to have this tool, Tony is the tech end of the creation. A lot of people are to thank for this not just them but also the people who are helping this take off with pre orders and such ya know. Everyones a winner here with this tool I know i'm fucking stoked!!
  17. I'm sorry man i didn't mean for it to go all crazy like that i was just poking fun a bit but it was uncalled for no harm ment man you good we all know you we just speaking from the heart and you just a stoked like the rest of us to have this coming out
  18. I'm sure you use a two female to one male RCA y connecter to make one lead from the two then plug into the SMD DD-1. watch the beta test video from Pulse on youtube
  19. Seriously? I guess, I mean it is good to have a image to look forward to for inspiration.. but that seems a bit stalking, lol sorry man it does. I referred to Steven as an Icon before due to his involvement in making this a reality and in all right he is now an audio Icon for that hands down, but still a normal everyday guy who loves audio just as much as each of us here talking about audio. Hope that guy doesn't start getting to that "Stan" stage or Steven better run for it, lol No dude, I am almost positive he was saying "seriously?" because you have not been paying attention to know that these things ARE available to the public and already started with the presale...if that clears it up for you. Idk i guess it seems it can be taken moe than one way

  21. Yes, i have....with our original prototype (that ate batteries for lunch every 3 minutes.....LITERALLY). I didnt get all of it done because of that. I will re-do it with one of the newer units soon. The new units have a much more efficient power supply in them and it shouldnt be a problem anymore. Have you thought about a lithium-ion rechargeable power supply like say my Makita drills for example, i don't really know the specs on the unit you may have already done so??
  22. As long as you buy brother cause us Irish can drink a whole lot Pluss you got some extra cash flow now But really you should see this through there is no reason this shouldn't be on the shelf at retail store, just sayin, I just got off facebook and there is a buzz about some oversea fellows that want one so international sales is something to think about if ya haven't already, I'm sure many have said it alreadly man this as well as I this is HUGE man hang on cause it is about to blow, Cheers
  23. As I just posted to Pulse, Steven you have just become an Icon in audio with this equipment. This is by far the most impressive piece to be created in the past 20yrs or more, you did more than you know with this my friend you have changed the face of audio and installing by giving people a professional tool at a novice price. Thank you for all the years of dedication to audio it brought you to a place where you helped craft not just mobile audio but audio installation for all. Stay grounded with this all cause it is easy to get caught up in movement this will no doubt be. Ya did good man, respect.
  24. This is by far the most important piece of equipment in auido installing in the past 20yrs or more to be created, steven just went from a die-heart audiophile like us all to an icon in audio, this product will change installs from here on. This is a great day for audio.
