  1. see i thought about that but its the plugs im worried about...lots of plugs in there...im afraid if i get them wet im screwed...a plastic bag i dont think would cut it...the engine im not sweating but the painted areas in the bay like the fire wall ect but there are also alot of small places like behind my abs lines ect...ill post a pic up later and maybe that will help.
  2. thats way cool man...do you have vids of it by chance?i imagine it would move a ton of air.
  3. well im thinking they will probly get mounted in my amp rack or ill rebuild my sub box and make smaller enclosures for them but who know...i would really like to mount them on the front of my amp rack near the floor but im not sure if they would sound good there or not...ill make a thread on that when i get there...
  4. team nemesis DJ John hone my integra when i had 3 18s all could play down below 10hz... thats impressive...isnt human hearing only good down to 20hz though? i bet a sub looks cool trying though.
  5. pretty cool man...i wish i had something that would do notes that low. i look forward to seeing what people do with it... also as a fellow music maker how do you get the bass so clean? is everything side chained? are you recording in logic?
  6. MAF is what i was gonna recomend too...could just need cleaned, but you do need to be insanely carefull....i sale a ton of these MAF on this vehicle (and similar) and lots of o2's...could also be a loose vac line or something.
  7. awesome...i think im sold. now i just gotta get them and figure out where to put them...not working with alot of room is this ol bucket of bolts.
  8. well i cant really help much in the system dept but mechanicaly maybe a little...i assume its not throwing any codes? did it just start this out of the blue or did you change something?
  9. are you worried that this is a mechanical issue or system related? and if stock idle is 600rpm i would try to keep it there IMO, why do you want it higher? how is the truck running otherwise?
  10. yeah i dont know why it would sound bad. plus its something interesting that you dont see everyday...im looking forward to seeing it.
  11. i have a 89 supra and my engine being clean would be super cool, im mostly talking fire wall and inner fenders ect (painted bay areas). now it being what it is there is tons of electronics ect on all these sufaces, is there anyway i can clean these areas safely?
  12. ill be watching this one close to see what you go with. i dont have a porche or even close but my older supra is a heavy beast as is and i wanna pull all the old deadner and use something very light to replace it since im already adding a ton of weight in the stereo dept...good luck and let us know how it goes.
  13. well ive got a sundown sa8 as of now tuned to around 35hrz and pold 6.5" all around so im looking for something to bridge between the 6.5s and the 8"...you think a pair of these would do the trick?
  14. i would like to run a set of these JL Audio 6W3V3-4 wondered if anyone had ever tried them or heard them? ill run them off the fifth channel of my soundstream. thoughts or info would be awesome thanks. some nice mid drivers would be cool. @ admin: if this is in the wrong section feel free to move thanks.

  17. damn dude you should have done her and walked with the game and saw for free
  18. haha thats not a bad idea but i would probly keep it around as a just in case type deal....
  19. yeah thats kinda where im at...and this project on on right now is a bit more involved than just a square box too so i have to be able to test fit alot...then imma rebuild my diamond shaped box ahaha...so if i under stand the guy above though i can go with a cheaper saw as long as i use a straight edge or can i still be alot of walk with too cheap of a saw?
  20. well i had lowes do my last big cuts and somehow they were far from straight...i will deffinatly be using a straight edge with it no doubt....havent had a chance to make it by any pawn shops yes cause i live in the boonies and am about 60mi away form any...ill hit some up soon though....thanks for the help guys....
  21. im looking for a circular saw for my build, it doesnt have to be the best or even close to the best but it does need to cut straight and be able to do angles....does anyone have any experience on that? i know you get what you pay for but i dont have hundreds to spend and will honestly only be building 2 boxes with it....any thoughts or advice appreciated. thanks in advance.
  22. i vote big block!!! then stereo!! with a big block you wouldnt even notice a monster stereo back there...just my $0.02
  23. just curious what i could use to best tune my sa8...some thing that has everything mids and lows....box is tuned at 35.6...just a cool list of songs that are good for tuning and good for listening too....sorry if this is a beat to death rethread....feel free to delete and link me to another if needed.
  24. here is some music that i like and some that have made lists of what you should tune by (as thought by random internet audio sites) for you rock/metal fans propaghandhi:supporting caste...the whole album is great...its kinda punk kinda thrash metal but super intense all the way through..and a high recording volume... at the drive in:relation ship of command...again another great album start to finish...very intense! more of a intense and edgy alt rockish sound from this band from El Paso..these guys split to form the bands the mars volta and sparta... hum:youde prefer and astronaut... a great band from the original "emo" from the 90's (weezer, hum, dig, failure, ect) before its name was ripped off for this new movement of wuss goths (sorry if i offend here) wont sound great on any stereo low recording volume and low quality by todays standards but just an amazing band amazing album away from straight rock now phoenix:1901...cant speak of the whole album but this one track is amazing...it is a more collage rock trendy sound but they have a great way of layering guitars and synthy and organic bass sounds for a dynamic listen on any stereo... there is a commercial on this vid sorry. imogen heap:speak for yourself...a great album again from start to end...this is an electronic artist female vocalist that writes and produces most all of her music herself..pretty cool...very moody...best for the winter months...the song "hide and seek" has been seen on many of the top ten tuning songs lists for home and audio...it will work your speakers up front(no bass literally)... MGMT:kids...great song but the rest of the album is a bit "eh" aside from the other standout track "electric feel"...again kind of a college'ish feel electrons with male vocal...another ive seen on many tuning list across the web...plus this video is kinda disturbing....and prepare for this to be stuck on you head. another with a commercial(sorry just trying to find good quality if i can). eisley:combinations...again a college'y sound with many layers of organic female vocals...this is an amazingly well produced, recorded and written album...its got a bit of rock and pop and country...very dynamic record in sound and style....too many tracks that are just above and beyond amazing on this album to mention... another commercial well thats it for now...my goal is to put up some things maybe most of you dont hear daily and things i love to hear...ill update as i remember others...hope someone finds something good in here....
