  1. I'm using an Audiopipe ASPM-1300 (I think that's what its called lol?) anyways its rated 1000rms at 1ohm and its a small profile amp and like less than $115 shipped. Typically audiopipe makes good amps from what I hear.
  2. god dammit here we go again with the insane unnecessary upgrades. its a fucking ~1500w amp, what does he need a brand new alternator for? i have an audioque 1200 and a 200w RF amp on a 70 amp alternator and i just have the big 3 done and i drop AT MOST a half a volt. and the sax has 4 gauge inputs so i'd like to see how he'll fit it in there without a reducer or a distribution block. also, ive seen an audioque 2200 run at .5 DAILY on a stock alternator and a red top under the hood with drops down to 13v. there is no need to be spending +$500 on freaking batteries and alternators. yes he can benefit from a secondary battery but it doesnt need to be the biggest, most gigantic battery that some manufacturer sells.
  3. There are a few things you can try: Big 3 with 0gauge wire 2nd battery in the back If u install a second battery run 2 runs of 0gauge This should help considerably
  4. Ill have him look into it. Thanks alot i didnt consider it even I just wanted some opinions, i know some people have done like 8 of those subs and had success, just wondering overall what people thought because they are very low end
  5. Yea i had that in mind, glad we thought alike
  6. Well because he is one of the guys that thinks "More subs = More Bass" or "subs are loud because of there size" He is just stuck on the idea that having 6 12" subs would be louder than any other ideas ive thrown his way Like my next build is gonna be (3) 10" DC level 3 on 2k and he thinks that it wont be loud at all because they are 10" subs. I frankly want to be able to rub it in his face that my system will be way louder if my enclosure is built properly for those level 3s. Just wanted your guys opinions about Hifonics in general, and how loud that hifonics system could possibly get?
  7. So a friend of mine has the idea in his head that he wants to go with Hifonics as his Sub/Amp company because there "cheap and decent" Well Im not gonna argue with him unless they fry on him So he was thinking about doing (6) 12" HFI12D4 subs on a HFI2500 with the subs in a sealed box .. So that amp does like 80% rated power, correct? So we should get 2000rms from that amp, and we would be running it at 1.3ohms if the subs are in Series/Parallel so we should be seeing more around like 1700rms give or take a bit. Does anyone think this would be a bad idea? basically he wants a cheap system that could get loud, but he wants to be able to say "I have (6) 12s in the trunk" He has the room for the sealed box, he has 40" x 40" x 16" height Any responses are appreciated, basically just wondering how loud this setup would get? yeah its not the best equiptment but its what he really wants to do and its in his budget range
  8. Alright ill consider it thanks But still just wondering about some other amps
  9. Are Audiopipe Amps gonna be better than HiFonics amps?
  10. I had 2 15" PA Mofos on a Kicker zx1000 and I never had it metered I wonder what I was hitting out of the trunk ..
  11. Okay 3 DC 10" level 3 it is .. Now what amp to power them with?
  12. It's goin in a 2002 Saturn SL 5 speed .. What about some audiopipe amps? People say they do rated power bit what about a clean signal?
  13. Yea but I can get it for cheap .. Can u guys help me find a good amp .. keep in mind its a budget build
  14. Yea thats not a problem at all .. I can easily adjust it I have a volt meter and an o scope available .. So how bad would u guys rag on me for putting a Hifonics HFI2000 on the 3 10" since I can get it for less than $100 bucks
