Fuckin' dammit, wish I had this much help when I was designing mine. Might be f***ed now, I've got one of the two 50% built already. And I just realized I think I have almost double the port area I need. And I might have been able to do subs forward port forward like I wanted to instead of having to do two separate boxes with port and sub up. Well, good luck to you. If any of the people who've been helping with this one could swing by mine too, I'd appreciate it. My link

i think the polished will look better then blue......it will match up to the polished tubes on the KW coilovers....still waiting for him to email me back on that.
^This. While you came here to give us a peek of what's coming and get some opinions, at the end of the day it's what YOU want because it's YOUR car, and YOU are going to be looking at it the most. You sound pretty set about polished because it's what you will like the most, so go with the polished... would still look kinda cool in blue though

Actually, if you hit him up, they also have 6x9's listed on their site. Don't know if he'll actually have any in stock right now, but you can go to their website to look them over and see if they are something you might be interested in before you hit him up.

Last I heard T3 went out of business?
Almost, they had a huge problem with a licensee trying to screw them over but they took it to court and got it settled. They are working on developing all new stuff and plan to come out with them either late fall of this year to probably January of next year. You can hit up John Demuth because he is working on selling some of their B-stock items, I already ordered 2 12" T.1000's off him. Go HERE for info about getting some equipment from him.

Where you goin' for electrical? I went up to Ferris and just finished up with my Associates in Industrial Electronics Technology and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Technology. Was a rough 4 years with a lot of math... I think there was 22 people I started with and due to either changing majors or falling behind, there were only 7 of us after the 1st year lol.

Tested the mock-up today and it finally fit. I was looking at the RE portion and realized that I think I messed up the port length 2 size. IDK, it only messes with the tuning by about 1.5 Hz or so. If everything is set up right above with L2 as 16 1/8, I should have a cut list like this:
Top: 32" x 15.5"
Bottom: 32" x 15.5"
Right: 14" x 14"
Front: 28.5" x 14"
Left: 14.75" x 14"
Back: 32" x 14"
Port L1: 11.25" x 14"
Port L2: 16.125" x 14"
Then do it all over again for box 2.

The last two hostages ran out of the place and then cops heard a gunshot, not releasing if the sick fuck shot himself or not. On one hand I hope so, because any sick bastard willing to kill random kids deserves to die. But at the same time, I wish that he could get sent to prison so he dies painfully, not by a bullet to the head.
EDIT: State police helicopter just left, guess that's prolly a good sign. Will find out soon...
EDIT: Yup, fucker took the easy way out and ate some lead. Guess that's one less un-medicated crazy I have to worry about...

He has killed 5 adults and 2 kids, one of which was a 10 year old girl, and this was at a couple different locations. It appears that he knew at least one person at each location according to the police. They have him cornered and he's holding a 50-something year old man hostage. He is bipolar and off his meds. Watch for this on tomorrow's news, I'm sure this will be national. I'm not too worried about this event because this is quite an anomaly and I live in a nice area. He only stopped here because they blew out his tires and he went off the road after driving the wrong way on the highway. He jumped out of the car and ran down a hill and kicked in the first door he came up to.

This guy went nuts here in Grand Rapids MI and has killed 7 so far and the police think they have him cornered in a house less than a 1/2 mile from me! He's holding hostages and has released one so far. I-96 is closed down for both directions here.

And if I make two mock ups of this and they don't fit.... Ima just say screw it and make one box at 14h x 28.5w x 16d with 2 sealed chambers so that each sub gets exactly 1.2 cubes and call it good till I go to put these in my next car.
Sealed will prolly sound terrible though lol. Idk actually, that may not be such a bad idea since the bass would be tighter and not as boomy and I would be listening to more rock again. But it would definitely be quieter. Might also have to use 1" instead of 3/4". -

Thanks for your help man, shit is giving me a headache but I'm determined to build this myself. I'll run some more numbers tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Bought 8 cardboard boxes and only used 2 so far, will definitely have no trunk after these subs, but I only want to build the boxes once.

Net volumes. I was told anything with a port area per foot > 10in^2 was good? I saw that the port area was just under the range on the L-Port design, and an 8" port gave me some pretty high tuning numbers, lol.
