oh it sucked in a lot of solder. I put the "beauty cap" as Steve calls it as the end. No cold solder joints here.Almost looks like the solder pooled on top vs. Wicking into the wire
-
I see some strands poking out there on the bottom.
Still a work in progress

I think I got it now.

you haven't lived till you've hit a screw with a trim flush bit
I suppose a brail nail doesn't count...
-
and then you start running around flush trimming everything and anything you can.
^^This...I knocked the edges off my daughter box and an older speaker box I had in the garage!

Apparently! This was my first time using one. It's one of those tools you don't realize how you ever lived without it

Any reason these are discontinued. Also, what are they being replaced with? I see you guys still have the dual 2 ohm version, but it's OOS.

I just purchased the app. Could an addition be made for a sealed box designer? I'm sure most folks go ported, but I think having that would be awesome.

SLT with 4x4 to boot...very nice!

I hope you get an answer. This is the main reason I'm holding off on getting the 3sixty.3. The video Steve made was for a line driver. From the manual, the 3sixty.3 doesn't have a gain control.
-
Does using the 3sixty allow you to avoid using a relay to turn all of the amps on? I did a search on this topic and didn't see anything mentioned about a relay.

It was a green MEI mosfet amp. I think it was 75x2 RMS. That thing was built like a tank!

I went back and retested. My sub level goes to 15, not 6. With the level at 15, 33 out of 35 is the highest it will go before the distortion light comes on. When I back it down to 13, I can take the volume up to the max of 35. I'm not sure which one i should go with.
-
I just set my sub level to the highest it would go and used the max volume. I still got no distortion. Some decks only reach their 4 v output if you turn the sub level up. Might wanna look into that. My DD1 serves me PERFECT!
-
I will in a few minutes.
-
You make a good point about the sub level. Looks like there are several ways it can be done. I'm sure I will run the sub level over 0 at some point.Go back to your sub menu and turn the filter all the way up. The EQ should be seperate and turn that to flat. Also i looked at your headunit on sonic and it states you also have a high pass. Turn that all the way up or down ( cant remember, but just read the manual from the DD1 and it will tell you) bass boost off on the deck. You may have to turn your sub level all the way up on the deck. Make sure you dont have a volume level for the ipod. If you do, turn that down.

I think I got it now. Here are a couple of pics from when I did the mids/highs amp.what happens if you move the positive probe of the dd-1 to the other terminal?
-
Got it folks! I have to same feeling as when I first learned to solder. I keep all of my settings on flat. The change came on the HUs xover. I set the front and sub to 200hz(that is as high as it would go). My headunit does not distort at the max volume of 35.
-
This is the pic of the HU sub xover. When I press the flat button, it goes back to 80hz.

Steve, I need to clean up the amp rack(read MDF board) in my 04 Escalade. Is his amp rack bolted to those seat rods? I'd like to build an amp rack like this. Thank you guys for sharing. I wouldn't think doable without this post.
