  1. And did I directly say something about it being a problem with audioque? I love aq. I blame myself for what happened to my amp. There was no flaws in it at all. It was my fault for being a dum ass and forgetting that I can't turn it up and as soon as I did it. It went up in smoke...
  2. I knew everything now than I did before. I knew it was a bad idea and i knew ot needed 0 gauge. I just wasn't thinking. The bottomcover has already been taken off for cooling. I called audioque and they said it doesn't matter and they will still fix it. So I'm sending it back hopefully this weekend. Hoping it is not too much to fix. Oh yea my other 0gauge came in so will be good when she is back and fixed.

  4. LOL. Never thought or heard of that. Thanks
  5. Yea i was gonna try that i have some laying around somewhere but havnt had time to look for them. Yea will make sure i have that 0 gauge before i get it hooked back up.
  6. 5 gauge or 8 gauge, either way if it wasn't 1/0 its not enough for your application. mistakes like this are all part of learning but unfortunately sometimes learning is expensive lol Yea man i know. i was just trying to get stuff done and i hear ya on that one luckily i only paid i think around 200 for it.
  7. Really? with these AQ's or just amps in general?
  8. EDIT: sorry i didint really read what you were saying does anyone know what RCAs should be reading? I can't remember but I think I said I changed the rcas out and still nothing. And yea I know but I had to make sure it was all good as I bought the amp used and he didn't have a was to hook it up. But thanks.
  9. Actually I thought about and I just went and looked and at the wire that burnt up and it was a 5 gauge ground. I had a 8 gauge in there rite before I put this amp in.
  10. Like I said I planned to have it In there for 2 days tops. I know it wasn't a good idea but I had to make sure everything worked. I left it all in my car for a couple days and left it all connected but I kept everything off then I turned it on for about 5 mins and it died then.

  12. Well I'm waiting for some 0 gauge to come in for my ground but the power is already ran. But I had 8 gauge on there at first cause I was anxious to hear it u know and I only planned to run it for a couple days expecting my wire to come in but it hasnt and I only had the gain up quarter of the way topps and nothing else messed with.

  14. Ok I don't know very much about the internal parts of amps but I got a aq2200 pushing my btl. The other day my car filled with smoke. I was scared out of my mind I thought it was my clutch then I thought it was my amp so I was flipping out but I pulled over and saw my ground wire glowing orange and all the plastic was melted and it also burnt threw the plastic on my remote wire I'm not sure if they crossed but as soon as I was it I ripped apart. But I got home re ran my ground with a thicker wire. And plugged everything back up and the green led comes on but no output. I checked everything all the voltages the slave master switch...everything. But I checked everything inside the amp and everything is intact no resistors look to be burnt but I havnt had time to check with a meter yet. But everything still looks good. I also switched out some rcas to make sure it wasnt those. I called my buddy that knows a little bit more about me on the electrical part and he said something about the polarity may have got switched. Is there anything u can do about that. Like I said I know how to do everything but I just don't know anything about the internals.
