  1. Before I post anything, please do not flame or spam this thread.

So guys, I'm here to ask for opinions on a rebuild. Now, my wall didn't turn out the best, I have no problem admitting this. I am still working to improve the wall, but I like to have a plan B. Definitely in over my head with the wall, and do regret attempting it with such little experience. I do love my Lv5 18s though, I just don't have the power to push them much (only single BC2000) nor do I have the space without the wall (which is a failure.)

With the rebuild, I'm looking to keep everything below the windowline in my 2000 Dodge Dakota Club Cab. I do not have dimensions at the moment, as the wall is still in. I'm considering keeping a single Lv5 18, selling the other and using the money to purchase electrical upgrades to support the addition of another BC2000, but if anyone else has thoughts on equipment that can get me loud, I'd appreciate it. I'm not looking for an all out, low end monster. Whatever I decide to do will be for a daily ride, but to put up some numbers. I am open to try any equipment and any enclosure, so long as space and budget permits.

So far, I'm thinking something along the lines of 2 12" subs powered by 2kw before rise each (with room to add power.) I've been wanting to do a SB2 build since I got into car audio, so 2 12s would be allowed (as would 8 8s, 4 10s, and 1 15.)

    TL;DR

I fail at life. Need suggestions on subwoofers, sizes, and enclosures to fit below the windowline. I can get at least 8 cubes net below the windowline. Power will be along the lines of 4kw (unclamped). Budget for woofers will be along the lines of $700-$800

I am not against trying anything at all, and am only looking for advice, knowledge, and to learn a bit about this hobby so I do not drop loads of cash and get shit results due to my lack of talent.

    Thank you :)

  2. USACi is the only organization in my area, so I have a few questions about it. Now, from my understanding, your equipment in SB is limited.

    For SB1, you have 4 points. SB2, 8. SB3, 16. And SB4, 32.

    A 8" woofer is 1 point, a 10" is two, a 12" is four, a 15" is 8, and an 18" is 16. Is this correct?

    So, if I wanted to do a SB2 build, I could use 1 15, 2 12s, 4 10s, or 8 8s, right?

Also, how does Streetbeat work? Is it a average on music, a burp on tones?

Anyone have general advice on a Streetbeat build?

I apologize if these aren't good questions, and appreciate any help :)

  3. No.. Kicker makes svc 8ohm subs (stupid I know) but I bet that is exactly what he has, the op most likely really does have a 4ohm load. Especially since it all came in a prefab kicker box and shit, that's why I say go with the kicker 750.1 amp, because it probably makes the perfect power at 4ohms for the prefab kicker box and subs.

    guys you are all WRONG.

    I bought these FROM KICKER.

these are the box and subs together. i think the name was 07dc124....

    google that.......

anyway i HAVE A FINAL IMPEDANCE OF 4OHMS. Kicker zx450.2 or Hifonics BRUTUS BRZ1700.1?

Of those options, I'd choose the BRZ1700.1

  4. You say you don't have the power to push the lvl 5s, yet you want a ddz? :ehh::lol:

What's wrong with the two 18s?

In the OP, I mention I plan to be running around 4kw before rise, and several people have said that the DDZ comes alive with 3k or so clamped.

Nothing is wrong with the 18s. I love them! At the moment I just don't have enough power for them to reach their potential.

Gem, I save up for several months. Took me 6 months to save up for the Lv5 18s.

  5. I like the 8 10's idea listed above :D

8 10s on 500w per... Hmm, sounds like it would be pretty decent. Only issue would be fitting them all on the baffle, if say I only go 45w and 18d... But a 20h would solve that.

Keep suggestions coming, and also mention suggestions on that woofer size... Say 8 DC Lv2 10s or something of the sort :)
