  1. get 2 18Qs and a good 2k amp may or may not need an alternator get a couple kinetiks and call it a day

^ Agreed. Either that or some BLs and a 3k or something.

Could get a kicker 2500 for a good price too.

BLs loaded are 375. Here's a t3k on ebay for 650, that would be a great combo imo.

I don't know if you could find one new somewhere for <=800, most likely should.

  2. power on tap? im just saying all your wire is brown

? It's black. It's RF wire with translucent insulation- the black negative/ground wire, not burnt up lol.

His setup really moves some air on those low notes, and just sounds great doing it. I was amazed at the way it sounded, especially off 2k watts (though those amps are underrated).

  3. Derrick on here has 2 18" BLs with a rf 1000.1 each. At the last show he did 147.9 with no tuning on the boxes- and at a pretty low freq. Best thing to me is how great they sound doing that too. Would a btl be louder? Maybe with more power, but unless you want to drop a ton into your electrical I think they'd be a great choice.

  4. I don't know. With larger vehicles and smaller amps you really can fit them under the seat without people even knowing they're there. And there comes a point when you run out of places to put things.. I think if you keep things zipped tight and screwed down where people can't see them they're pretty safe.

as long as nothing is sticking up to get caught on moving seats I still say it's safe.

I like the idea of that better than screwing to the back of a sub, or putting in plain view to be seen and stolen ;)

  5. I'd finish off the audio setup first. When you're driving you don't see your rims, may sit up higher, but they don't do you any good. With your ghetto-blaster going you'll be noticed anyway, and music will sound decent when driving any time.

Plus you should put the weight of all that equipment in to see how your suspension likes it, and if there will be any changes needed to fit those rims.
