ive heard the same, not very good if your lookin to get loud...i know from experience. i used to run 2 13ov.2's which were there top line 12's and they were crap!
-
looking at maybe buying 4 lvl2 15's but was wondering what the prices on these are and where can i get them? thanks!
-
you think the alt bracket would also work on a 03' Avalanche w/5.3L? if so let me know, i'll take one when you get them made up.

What is your goal? SQ, SPL or the loudest guy from 1 mile?
loud and clean

anyone know what i should be aiming for as far as tuning and volume on a ported box? ive been playin with a few calculators and i seem to come up with roughly 6cuFt at 34Hz but not really sure how it will sound. according to RE's specs the volume should be 8cuFt total. will this affect the output of my subs if its tuned right but not large enough?
-
i already told you its not that simple. Seriously, im gonna be nice when i say this. STOP, you dont know what your talking about. If you disagree, please show me a 2001 body style you have done, that incidently has a roll pan. Please bro, SAVE your advice, i dont need it. I got it under control.
also, do you think i give a fuck about the "hole sale" value of a 9 year old truck that has already given its sole to car audio? Lots of people cut up cars worth far more then this thing. Do you think when i go get my next car im trading this in? Even when i get my next car, im keeping this so no need to lose sleep over what i do to the value, of my older body style SUV.
I love it when people tell me how to do shit on my own truck! especially when they have absolutely no clue as to what is going on at all.

would it be better for me to just go with a ported box built to RE's specs? it will be powered by a US Amps xt-4000D so roughly 1200-1500 RMS to both subs.
-
well my size constraints are roughly 49.5 wide by 19.5 tall. depth is not a concern since it will be in the "bed" of the avalanche.
-
i am trying to design my box for 2 RE 15SE's and what i have come up with is essentially a sealed box with the subs facing up firing into a port which will be facing forward. make sense to anyone? now would i be able to just allow any amount of space for this so-called port or would it be the same as a ported enclosure and have to be tuned to a given frequency? it will be going into an 03 chevy avalanche btw.

dangit!!! hmmm maybe its time for a bigger amp to run these. i love the sound i would just like them to be a little louder without distortion issues.
-
will i lose my left to right adjustability if i wire them in parallel?
-
who makes a 2ohm component set??
-
how can i run my 4ohm components at 2ohms to get better power from my amp? comps are CDT EF-61fg's powered by USAmps XT800.4

Here in Brazil people prefer highs than BASS...

Can someone explain what "Jailbreaking" an iPhone actually does, and what any advantages/ disadvantages to doing it are?
-
anyone have any specs on the new VLX series?
-
thats exactly what im after, but if im not mistaken the SeXXX's have a higher rated power handling than the regular Se series right?
-
I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions on any of the Merlin series of amps for my 2 new RE Se15D4's. Would the MD-2D be too much? Not enough? I just dont want to buy more "amp" than i really need for these subs. Feedback and opinions would be also be great from anyone who is running a similar setup in their car/truck. Thanks guys! :hairtrick: <----me soon (hopefully)

Just buy a molded carpet kit for your car, you can get them at any upholstery supply house in pretty much any color you want. they just drop right in and your done. i did this to my old truck and it took less than 2 hours start to finish and it looked better than factory IMO and only cost me about ~$120

CTS's are pretty sweet, the 07-present body styling blows the older model out of the water! looks much better, too bad i dont fit in em kinda hard to find a car to fit in when your 6'2" 285lbs lol
-
blowthrough is your only real option though.
not unless he's a midget, then he shouldnt have a problem fittin em behind the seat.
oh and make sure to take lotz-o-picz when you git-r-done!
