I Wired it to the battery.. and then grounded it to chassis. I got the yellow video going up to the deck and nothing is happening at all. It doesnt turn on, and on the Head unit it shows it greyed out like its not connected. Any thoughts?

I have the Reverse signal wire from deck going into the reverse wire for car. Broken link. Maybe i should just run it to the back battery?

Tracking # was prob sent to him and then he forgot. Maybe he got attacked by a polar bear on the way to the post office and is in the hospital.. who knows its alaska.

Amps are not hooked up right now, so no i cant . But that doesnt sound right...

I grounded the relay to the Head unit and the car. I thought it was just the head unit that needed grounding.

Ok, so there is the video cable that goes to the deck, got that in. Then another cable that comes from the camera with red/black wires. I grounded the black on the chasis near the back.. For the red wire i hooked it up to the remote wire going to the back amps. Its not working... So do i need to bring the red wire all the way up front and hook it to the Yellow 12v constant from the harness? or what should i do with it?

i bought a relay. I re watched a video a couple more times. going to attempt it again.

Which one do you ground the relay to the car?

Ive watched like 4 videos and i just had 1 more question for anyone that knows. The relay.. You ground number 86 to 87, and then on one of those you take the ground to the Head unit. So does this mean that the head unit's only ground goes to the relay? Do you not ground the relay to anything on the car?

Before you hook it up, just get a cheap digital multi meter from autozone or something and get a set of clips that will pinch the wire so you can penetrate the wire with the probe past the insulation. If that brown/yellow wire has 0 voltage in it when you are in any other gear than reverse then its a good start. If it has 12v of power on it then it is deff not your reverse wire. To test the voltage of the wire simply do this... 1.) Set your DMM to the 20vdc setting 2.) Take the black wire and ground it to the frame/body of your vehicle 3.) Take the positive (red) lead off your dmm and attach the insulation piercing clips you purchased to the end of the lead. 4.) Once attached, hook it onto the brown/yellow wire and see what the voltage reads on your DMM screen. Like i previously said, if you have the car in park, the wire should not have any voltage going through it. If this is the case then place the car in reverse and hold your brake down so you dont back up into something. Look at the screen of your DMM again, it should now read a +12v reading. If this is the case, you successfully found the wire you need to tap into in order to make your reverse camera work on your radio. Home depot, Auto Zone and Radio shack didnt have the Insulation piercing clips . Napa was closed same with another store. Lame sauce... TBC Edit: My DVD does not work even with park break on... so there is another trouble shoot i gotta figure out.

Mine says it goes down to 12v... i can detect wall outlets and big cords that are plugged into sockets. But when i try to detect small wires in the car nothing happens. Not even on the 12v constant. My question is... Does this cap come off or is this always suspose to be on?

thats not a sealed enclosure?? its a bandpass design Isnt the 4th order sealed and ported? Subs being in sealed area? Or does it not work like that?

Didnt think SX models could be in sealed. Least that is what mine say. The XXX's can though.

I did alot of research on the reverse signal wire and they all said that the reverse back up wire is a Brown/yellow stripped wire that is by the kick pannel... or i saw mine at the harness. So I might try that.. not 100% yet so im not going to hook it up.

Can i Ground the wires on this area here? The metal bar behind the head unit? Or is that a pipe to something important? It seems like its just structure support. Anyone know? ;p

I forgot I also have the Dimmer ground that is Orange w/ Black stripe. Do i ground that to the black ground available?
