  1. Looks good so far! Definitely impressed with the work using that saw haha. By any chance were you at Mini Nats in Maggie Valley?

yea i was at mini nats no truck but i was hangin with my club AcrophobiA

I showed up for a while Saturday. Made 1 full lap and about 1/3 of another one full tilt before they had to shut me down due haha. White walled off POS Ranger. I showed up pretty late for the show part, but will be there all weekend next year.

  2. Still not completely sealed off, still wired at 2 ohm and gain is SUPER conservative (Had some issues with 2 of the subs out of the box, nothing to do with enclosure/amp but had me bad nervous. Just trying to keep it playing till after mini nats haha). Hoping to finish sealing it up this week, wire down to .5, re-scope the amp, and make my trim panels/cover the box. Still pretty pleased with how it does right now.

Song is a modified version of Cali Swag District- Teach Me How To Dougie... Main note is 41hz so flex isn't too crazy. Will post up some better videos next time someone comes by with a camera. Probably have some demo videos up from Mini Nats soon as well.

  3. Next time you could use the search feature and save some time... but here it is in a nutshell:

The clip light has a set rail voltage to trigger the light, when set voltage is met the light will flash. Amp may or may not actually be clipping at that point. Trust the DD-1/o-scope/etc and enjoy it.

  4. my 91 (194k miles) recently snapped a timing belt. May want to look into that!

Timing BELT? :puzzled: a 22RE uses a single roller timing chain.

These trucks honestly don't too great on gas to begin with, as for the running rough since it sat that long did you pull the injectors to make sure they are all clear? Otherwise you seem to have hit all the bases I'd start with. If so I'll dig deeper.

  5. The EX250 is an AWESOME bike. Nice big aftermarket, fun to ride even out of the box, and resale is super high as everyone loves these things for beginner bikes. Some of the most fun I have ever had at a track day was on a loaner EX250.

Take an MSF class as soon as you can, helps with insurance but it also teaches alot of things that can save your life. I recommend an MSF class to EVERYONE who comes in the shop, even experienced riders can learn something. For the price for what you get it's well worth it.

Also can't stretch enough proper safety gear. It's easy for someone to look at helmets for example and want to buy a $100 helmet over a $300+ helmet because it's easier on the wallet... The old Bell helmets ads said it best, if you have a $10 head wear a $10 helmet. I will never wear a cheap lid. Also a good textile jacket is a good investment if you don't want to spring for leather, as is a good set of textile pants, both should have adequate CE armor.

Enjoy it, some of the most fun times of my life have been on two wheels.
