the previous setup was 2 us amps xt2000ds and 2 re sx 12s older style subs if i had pics of it i would post them but unfortunately i dont but i got a lil bit more done tonight just zip tieing a ton of wires and got my 4 channel amp hooked up just gotta get some fans to put on it because it will be covered up will post pics when i get the fans put in.

but just my .02 cents just because its a new alt doesn't mean it isnt bad. ive gotten a few alts that were bad right outta the box its a pain but hey its how it goes sometimes. i would take it out and have it bench tested first before redoing all kinds of wiring that might not be the problem.

try replacing you speaker wire you might have a bad wire which is changing your ohm load

how do you have them wired are they wired together ? and how do you have them wired ? parallel or series or series parallel? oh and are they dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm

what is your ohm load check it with a DMM and also test each coil with like a 9volt battery to see if that coil is working

after displacements 4.5 is a good size box

maybe look into that flexible electrical conduit they sell at like homedepot

does anyone know the prices on the 2.0k and the 3.5k ?

i would try some rubber grommets and wireloom to incase the wires in

thats all i used in my car for the last 9 yrs no problems at all its not the same brand but still welding cable and ive never ran any loom or anything besides when i had a double run of 4/0 going under one of my cars

anyone else ? should i run them at a 0.5 ohm load because of impedence rise or ?

i got 2alts 4/0 wire and 2 yellows in the back and a red in the front right now im running to usamps xt2000d and usamps st800.4 and i dont drop below 13.8 is that good?

this is what i was thinking of doing was to get one of the bc2000 to run my 2 re audio sx 12s there dual 2 ohm now but was gonna get them reconed to a dual 4 or a dual 1 for a 1 ohm load wired together or to get one of the bc3500 and run it at a 2 ohm load any suggestions ?
