So apparently in the 90s a 42v system was proposed to replace 12v in cars... Damn that would've been nice. Anyone remember it at all? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/42-volt_electrical_system

its not the voltage that kills you though. its the amperage

Word. You can get hit by a 1000 volts and it mightn't kill you. Current makes you it's bitch though. But always remember all it takes is 50mA through your heart and you're dead Mortality right there.

Amperage is what kills as stated above ^ Welders only operate on a couple volts.
