  1. So while i was doing some research for an alternator i stopped by your guys website and i order the one under dodge ram trucks but when it was time for me to put in the beast i couldn't really see how different of a fit on my alternator was. So after taking it apart and hooking up the positive i've noticed a slight difference in the plug.

Description of what my plug would be like, there is 2 cables i believe one was white with a black stripe and the other just solid white where it met with a casing that has the ground wire going through to attach for ground on each side of the alternator holes, and those 2 cables coming out have a 10-12gauge terminal that would hook up directly to as a plug but to the 2 brass bolts coming up out of the alternator.

Here is what it would look like on my dodge alternator

This is the original bought from you guys, found in a different source but exactly the same setup with the 0 gauge terminal from you guys.

So my question is since i wasn't looking towards the hybrid version because it seemed slightly off, and after ordering the other one before i got a response from a mechman rep about that they have a different type of a 6 phase for my truck i was told this would do me good instead, and the question is, is there any way i can take those 2 little cables that probably run behind the engine block as that's where i was looking at, are there plugs i can possibly attach or splice into.

Any help appreciated, i have worked alot since i bought the alternator and haven't had the reasonable time to make a thread and ask about this issue that i have received after trying to install my alternator. I have bought the alternator on the 26th of april and received it by the first 5 days of may.

Thank you for your time and patience, any help on this is greatly appreciated.

  2. yeh i was very, very disappointed by that decision, but it had to be made, if for some reason i was in the middle of some retard breaking or driving like a dumbass i would probably be looking at me getting knocked out by the box or it just sliding back and forth. I was planning on putting just 2 in the back so its not noticable, but it's impossible with the room i was working with i tried to give my self a little bit of space with the seat since i can't pull it back any more

Edit : Build will be done before may 19th 88% sure, and i am looking forward to see anyone who is going to this SPL show in Connecticut, that is located in Rocky Hill near porter and chester inst.

  3. I've noticed on the website when i click on the Alternators-High Output --> Dodge --> Dodge Trucks and Vans --> Ram Pickup --> 5.2L-V8-->94-03

which is my truck and year, the alternator looks about the same and all that good stuff, either i'm retarded or blind, or maybe i don't have a way of actually looking on the other side of the alternator because there is no second image, would this alternator be the right fit for the model of my car?

I was just worried for a second because this is what the alternator looks like that's on my car and on the stock one it does say Denso http://www.mechmanhighoutputalternators.com/shop/products/270-amp-Dodge%7B47%7DJeep%7B47%7DChrysler-Alternator-.html, and with the bracket on the website it seems to throw me off a little bit

I just can't picture it on my car with the bracket and no i am no expert in this field, so bare with me, so my question to you is Should people be worried when they actually have the same car i have, and they don't look into this stuff and randomly did what i did and clicked on the first one that came up which was the only one under ram pick up

To me it seems like i would put both of them in that section but that's only me, and trust me this is no asshole question, feedback or anything close to be putting you down of any sort. I am just asking a question to make sure i am on the right page and sorry for this being so damn long. haha

Final thoughts - i believe it is the one that i pasted the link to, that is just under the tab for Doge Trucks and Vans just not actually put in the 5.2L-v8-->94-03 section which i understand, and i am clearly the better person to look at facts first before going ahead and asking stupid questions.

    Thanks for any help

  4. some people actually build boxes inside the trunk of the car as they go, basically meaning it's a one shot kind of thing, once build you can't take out, make any change of wiring unless you have the necessary space provided, in other words it's a caveman job build it, and when you done with it and time for a new build, you need to take it apart. Could also do some measurements see what you can work with, seen a decent size box inside a camry

  5. Did some work in the truck for the box to sit on, all leveled and about done, just thinking of filling in the blanks or if i should leave them like that for now just in case i need to place the battery somewhere or run the wires underneath.

here it is some pictures, if you guys can't load them like i can't sometimes let me know so i can re size them
