  1. Ok so I am again no expert, however an old friend of mine Will Alfonso suggested a BP design and below is what I came up with.

Specs provided where 5.7cuft 1:1 50sqin of port area 8" long.

After the suggested BP design I "tried" to mock one up in sketch up. I prolly got this all wrong but here is a picture of it with some area's left out to view the measurements. I shortened the port based on 1 shared wall, the way I got the length of the port of 5.25" is that I calculated the box like a standard ported box with torres calc at 50sqin 8" long, got the resulted tuning, then changed it to 1 shared wall, accounting for the difference of 4.5Hz I then adjusted the port lower in length till the same (within .01) tuning was obtained. I hope that made sense. Anyway here is the diagram/photo any input would be helpful as this is my first attempt at doing a BP design and I just kinda winged it based on the data given to me of 1:1 with 50sqin of port area 8" long.

The box is 1:1 2.9cuft sealed, 2.9cuft ported 50sqin of port area shortened the port length as detailed above.

    Input? No flames por favor.

  3. Oh his price I stated here was MUCH better than the first one I got from him, which I think was due to the dbags he worked for previously. His tip was totally on me, I didn't even have to tip him but he's a great guy and did a fantastic job with me, especially since this was my first tattoo of this size, my other two are smaller around 3-4"x3-4" where as this one is pretty big.

  4. So I had a tattoo that was about 8 years old, not really digging it anymore so I had an idea of what I wanted and when I got the first estimate I had to wait, was too pricey, however my artist then changed studios and the price got MUCH better, so I just got it done yesterday. Here are the photos of the design, original tattoo, outline then full color.

BTW this is my 4th (technically) tattoo but I only show 3 since this was a coverup, also the acutal tattoo was a little different as my artist took out a few small things when I told him I wanted to continue this around my leg later.

Overall I am very very pleased, and I will be going back in 6 weeks for a minor white/highlight touchup session. Total cost was $300, minus his tip which was $100. And I plan on doing the other half of my leg by the end of the year.

  5. First up we have an Alpine CDA-9887 very well taken care of unit, if you don't know how good it is well you can read the factory specs here; http://www.alpine-us.../view/cda-9887/ This unit just came out of my own car on May 5th and works beautifully! This unit comes with the mounting cage, trim ring, new iPod cable, wire harness and remote.

    Asking $250 shipped WITH insurance.

Next up we have a Phoenix Gold ZX400Ti amplifier, rated at 100x2 @4ohms and 200x2 @2ohms, with 400x1 @4ohm mono. These amps are just plain goodness, this one has a small amount of rust on the top edge as you will see in the photo, but this has no effect on the amps performance. This amp was fully bench tested and worked very well. Unfortunately PG's website does not have any information on their older amplifiers the ratings I have supplied here were from researching other amps of the same model online.

    Asking $135 shipped with insurance.

Next we have a Panasonic CQ-DFX301U CD player, this unit is in pretty decent shape bench tested fine including the internal amplifier and all pre-outs. Great for a work truck or putitng in a car your selling or whatever its CHEAP! :D

    Asking $35 shipped.

Next is a Kenwood KDC-X811, this unit is NOT working properly, my bench test showed the following; the faceplate flips just fine both directions, however that was the only function I could get out of this unit. This unit could be used for parts or repaired if you are that good with electronics. Here is some info I found on this unit; http://www.crutchfie...n-KDC-X811.html

    Asking $35 shipped.

And finally we have an oldy but goody MTX Blue Thunder PRO275, this amp is NOT working properly. When connected to my bench it will power up but puts out a distored signal only over the RCAs. Again just like PG there is no info I could find on the MTX site on this amp, however here is what is listed on the bottom sticker of the amp which is intact fully; N-Channel VFET Amplifier, 37.5watts x2 @4ohms stereo, 75watts x2 @2ohm stereo, and 150watts x1 @4ohm mono, 280watts @4ohm mono at 14.4V. Serial # 477GB0499 and MADE IN THE USA!

    Asking $45 shipped.
