  1. Microsoft Security Essentials is FREE and does work, however it cannot stop people from being stupid. If you truly have a bad virus only someone experienced in removing it should tackle it. There are things virus' can do that are not seen or fixable by any of the above mentioned products. Malwarebytes and Super AntiSpyware are both great tools when used properly. However if this thing is sofisticated then you can expect headaches for a while. One I landed on my home PC (yes us tech people get them sometimes too) was a bit of a royal pain to remove, however with my laptop and a little research I found the crucial first step to removing it, which without it would have left me with a PITA removal process. The beauty I got was Win7 Security 2012 Version2, which not only suspended any .exe from running via the registry, it also prevented any kind of executable from being ran, such as .msi and more. This thing was well written because it even ran in safe mode, which about 95% of the virus' out there do not.

Anyway, long story short I had to extract and run a registry fix key to enable executable file use, then narrowed down the virus itself in safe mode, removed the main files myself and ran malwarebytes to remove any remaning files. However as I said this thing was well written, it also changed ALL FILES to HIDDEN, including the folders. Which is a bit of a PITA to correct manually, so a system restore to 2days prior corrected that issue.

Mainly what I want you and others who may see this topic to see is that while the "average" virus can be removed with simple steps, such as rebooting to safe mode and running malwarebytes/Super Antispyware. Some can be very nasty, so be careful, and NEVER put any kind of personal information into anything that pops up, yes that is pretty obvious but trust me someone has done it and I am sure more will without figuring it out. And above all else, if you need help ASK, there are plenty of tech people on this forum including myself who will help you out. I can type out an entire process to help you remove it but it sounds like you are on your way to getting it fixed, but again if you need help just ask.

  2. Alright here is my review of Alpha Damp, this project was to deaden my roof in my 2009 Honda Fit Sport. The car had a lot of windshield flex (well a lot to me) and I wanted to cut down on the flex and the rattling on the inside of the car. My weapon of choice for this was Alpha Damp, the product arrived in Early Feb however due to a car accident I had to put off doing this project till my car was repaired and returned to me. I got my car back on March 22nd and then after SBN weekend I finalized my new enclosure and set my eye's on doing the Alpha Damp to the roof.

So to start off I had to remove my entire headliner which wasn't the easiest task but it wasn't the hardest headliner I have removed either. Once that was removed here is what I had to start with.

And here is what I began with in alpha damp!

    2.jpg

So I started off at the front of the car working my way back, after getting the first strips installed I could tell there was a difference in tone already as shown in this first video and photo.

    3.jpg

I then moved onto doing the rest of the strips in the car which because they were pretty close in size the alpha damp I had a lot less cutting than I first thought I would. Alpha Damp is THICK, even my titanium Fiskers scissors had a rough time cutting it but I managed to get it work out well.

So I got all the main strips installed and here is a picture and video on the progress.

So I pressed on and finished up getting all the Alpha Damp in the coverage I wanted, I had 2 sheets left over when completed. And here are a couple photos and a video as I completed the installation of the Alpha Damp.

So after getting all the Alpha Damp installed I took a small break before re-assembling my headliner. I then got the headliner and all panels etc back into the car and did the exact same test I did in the first video you will see below, same song, same volume and the difference is very apparent!

    Before Alpha Damp:

    After Alpha Damp:

Overall impression is Alpha Damp is awesome! The product goes on easy, fairly easy to cut considering the thickness and does exactly what it should. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend this to anyone looking to lower flex and rattling in their vehicle. Total install time from start to finish was about 4 hours, however I was working alone so with help this could be done in a couple hours I am sure!

    Thumbs up to Alpha Damp!

  3. So after moving I had setup my workbench with a test area for audio gear and etc, needless to say the top was very cluttered and I had little to no room to work. So today I decided to clean it up and made a small panel to hold my test CD player and some cheap speakers. Now it feels more complete that it is cleaner and has a ton of open space for me to work.

See if you can spot the SMD item!

  4. Sadly some people don't believe in anything but ground shipping, I need it faster than 7-10 days which is the time it takes ground to get from CA to FL. And yes I am referring to that exact amp on caco. But that's ok there are plenty of sundown amps out there for sale, his loss.

  5. Looking to buy a Sundown SAZ2500D, needs to be in good shape no beat to death amps. Needs to have the remote and wire, would like it to have the box and manual if possible. I am looking to buy now, I have money standing by! Please post pictures of your 2500d if you are offering it up. I prefer swift shipping, not like overnight but 7-10day shipping is not gonna work for what I need it for. So please keep that in mind, also I will NOT paypal GIFT no matter your reputation (not even meade! lol) since this is gonna be a pretty large purchase, so if that is a deal breaker for you sorry.

So if you got one of these for sale post up cause I am ready to buy now!
