I filed my VA claim 12 months ago, the only thing I have received from them is a the letter stating that they received my claim. Is this the norm now? Anyone else in the same boat?

Sit tight, it took mine almost two years, and I started it even before I got out. You'll be getting a fat check though, dating back to your filing date.

yes the va is very backed up right now, you can also check progress on line, back date is 2-21/2 years on usual right now for a claim but at least you get back paid

some are processed earlier if it falls in the crack
