  1. Bass Accelerator Equalizer Restoration Signal Processor.... what are they and what do they do and are they any good?
  2. The reason that got me thinking about this was i was planning on going 1 amp and when i played a demo a kicker biter wanted to buy one of the 1000.1's for 300 and the money ready and all i wasn't to sure
  3. yeah i would have to changes subs then... something i plan on doing later down the road but not right away. right now i currently have 2 aq sdc 2.5 15's and they are dual 4. i know they are rated only 600wrms each and i dont have the full power from the kickers going to them. i also am able to get a better deal buying new from kicker i just couldn't wire the subs to 1ohm edit: the kicker 2500.1 is not a bad idea though i could wire to 4ohms and be straight
  4. I figured it would be good to change from 2 to 1. i hear a lot on here or other forums that hifonics are descent for the money. then if i sell the 2 amps what other good options would i have? I also have 2 kicker zx650.4 that i would end up selling just because i want to use that same brands in amps its weird but its just me i guess
  5. So i currently have 2 (newer models) kicker zx1000.1. Would it be wise to sell both them off and get only 1 amp for subs? The amps i was looking at were hifonics brutus brz2100.1 or the hifonics brutus brz2400.1. Any opinions please would be appreciated.
  6. let me check and see if they are out of phase i wasnt really looking at that... but yeah the are on around 250-300 watts, just a guess. i could clamp the amp to see about how much power they are getting im just not sure on how to do that.
  7. So i will get a build log up soon just wanted to show a demo of the subs.
  8. ok so i didn't have to much time to work on the box due to longer hours at work and spending time with the kids this weekend. Although however i did manage to just about complete the box. here are the pics here just making sure everything is still square here got one side of the port in here i got the other port along with the double baffle I do have all the box together with bracing caulked countersink on all screws just didnt get to take the photos yet
  9. Great thank you now time to get to work
  10. Hows this or should i try and keep the port area per foot around 14
  11. alright so i calculated my bracing and i actually got .14 in which i will need to change the port length to 20 to get 35hz. I also seem to get small amount of more port area with 2 common walls so i will go ahead and do the port down center
  12. Guess it needs to be in 18+ I will mess around with the torres when I get home
  13. I would have to keep sub and port on same side I dont have enough breathing room if port ifs back
  14. i tried that and for some reason i got a less net volume
  15. yeah i will look at doing that...
  16. 2 AQ sdc 2.5 15" tune around 35-36hz each sub will be powered by a kicker zx1000.1 each. going in a 07 ford escape big 3 and 2 yellow tops for now on stock alt. batteries are topped off every night
  17. Just a start of the box i have been putting of for to long now. I have just the bottom and the walls so far. going to get more progress on the sub holes, top piece and port later.
  18. you didn't even look past the first picture, did you? granted, OP, you probably don't need more than .5 cubic feet of bracing, and tha't's pushing it right now the way i got it calculated i have 2 braces going up and down and 2 going across. Should i go ahead and remove 1 that goes all the way across and still have 2 going up and down since it has more area to cover to prevent the box from flexing? right now the wood i got for braces are 2 pieces of 2x2x8. not cut yet but thats what im using
  19. So i have my dd-1 and it says to ground to the amp but would it be ok to just ground straight to the battery since it is close enough to the amps? I believe this question as been asked i think but i cant seem to find it. edit: i did it like this already just would like to know if its fine
  20. i do have theses things accounted for i was just wondering what is the difference in why i change the width and height by switching numbers i see different volumes but if you calculate volume it shouldn't matter so much as to where the numbers are inputted you get the same volume. Ex. 2x4x2=16 or 2x2x4=16 no matter the combination the answer is still the same. so why changing the in torres calc does everything else change?
  21. lol, yeah i use it but i was trying to get this done quick, also it shouldnt matter so much when the torres calc compensates for it edit: also the next thing we going to complain about is how i didnt put the braces in the sketch up either, lol
  22. im going to figure either way the specs are put in torres calc should be fine i guess. the volume or tune doesnt change to drastically. i mainly used the torres to get around the proper length anyway to achieve a good tunning
