im going to be puting a 5000-6000 watt system in my 95' tahoe and i was wondering if i needed to upgrade my alternator or not. i did the math and its gonna draw about 380-390 amps and i was wondering if i could just add a battery or what id have to do. oh btw this system is gonna be for daily use and id like to be able to run it for quite a while 1 1/2- 2 1/2 hours without turning the rig on to charge. what do i need?

theres not gonna be much of a difference theres more cone area with the 12's tho. and honostly pairs look nicer then a single sub.. its basically what u like is what you should use.

u need a bigger amp and wiring depends on the ohm load ur amp can handle

Do two kicker comp 12s and a DX1000.1 and that shuold run u about 700 leaving you the rest for wire mids highs and all tht. Thats what my friend has in his rig. It hits hard as hell.
