Finally able to grab a computer and was able to create a photobucket account so I can upload pics to this site. The design is below and its kinda rough but I have no experience with google sketch so I'm better off drawing.
-
Sorry for so many replies everything is lagging as far as mobile goes
-
Can I send u a pic via email that I drew up of the box? I got something drawn out but not sure if the ports are where you are thinking about.

What do y'all think of maybe moving the port to the bottom? Or maybe two smaller ports at the bottom (one under each sub?)
Something like this:

Hey whats up everyone, I was wondering if some of y'all might be able to give me a few suggestions on a box or maybe a little help. I drive a '97 Tahoe (max dimensions are below) and I only have 2 Q Power 12's in it but I am looking to get away from anything prefab and try to make my own to squeeze every bit out of these 2 12's I can. I will add a few pics of what I have now and I believe the volume is something like 1.6cu according to the Q Power website. I am open to any suggestions y'all may have as to switching the direction of the port or change the direction of how the subs fire. Maybe a bigger box? I'm going to go with 3/4" MDF board and thinking of carpeting it. I'm just trying to be able to compete in some small comps with what I could get on a budget. Thanks in advance for any help.
Max Dimensions:
Tall: 18 inches (to window line)
Width: 45 inches
Deep: 40 inches
Current Box Dimensions:
Tall: 13 7/16 inches
Width: 32 inches
Deep: 16 3/8 inches
Port Dimesions:
Tall: 12 inches
Width: 2 1/8 inches
Deep: 13 5/8 inches
The Current Box:
**edit**
Just went through Torre's Box Calc. and it said that the stats of my current box are:
Gross Volume: 3.13cu ft
Port Area: 25.5sq in
Tuning Frequency: 35.94Hz

Yea I doubt this will pass cause of infringing the 1st amendment as mentioned above but lol these people really are freaking out in the "big businesses"
-
Yea that 13ply is def expensive.
@nickers: What is your budget?
-
What about designing one on 1/4" MDF or another sheet board and fiberglass over it? What do you feel comfortable designing is the main question?
-

@autos: The Rockford amps comes with 3x30A fuses. So roughly 900w max. Pretty close to rated. I got this info off the original link in your first post. Just click Features & Specs and its listed under that
-
1000w RMS would have 100A worth of fuses right?
-
Well the RMS is "1000w x 2 Ohm x 1 Chan." so it should push out that power with no problem. Decent price also
-
Good to hear a good opinion on that brand
-
Crecendo does make some good amps from what I have read around the community. I can say Planet Audio does make some cheap amps that are 1000w RMS. I post a link below. I haven't heard a Planet Audio amp in person so I cant say a whole lot about them but they look decent for the price. Just google Planet Audio Amps and click on Google Shopper to see prices
P.S.
I hope my next amp is going to be Sundown or DC. Good quality and reliable amps
-
I have read over the link that is below quite a few times and seems to pretty helpful for settings gains on an amp. Hope the link can help and congrats on getting that ski hole opened up
-
How is the Parametric Bass EQ set? A pic to describe my words is below in the link. Maybe snag a pic of that end of the amp?

still a little confused about the the length of the port. 25" long port on a 20" deep box?
Are we talking about an L port?
