also there was a non walled car did a 152 at 44hz with only 5k..... 2 dd 9515's....... my hatch was dead so i had to bring the kia.... 146.0 (.1 away from the hawaii record set by hawaiianmax) with a single 10 sx 10... BTW we meter sealed at the window. so i feel these are some good numbers....and we use the termlab.... fill did a 148.4 hawaiian did a 150.5 the next event in summer promises to have some solid numbers and some fun bass raceing hawaiian style (not so many rules) we do it as follows can have any amount of windows or doors open can use any type of music as long as it has words. can go over your class during the run but not as the final score -.3 for redlight. break out score for the final score is auto DQ.. this event was the second time we did this and its a crowd freindly event. not so serious... most of us who compete are freinds.... MOST there are of course a few bad apples but f$uck the haters... i am the one who decided to try this at the last event we had in feb and the demand grew this time around... we however dont have a 149.9 class we have a 145.9 class so that more people can play too... we allow 2 runs and in the event of a tie they keep going till some one scores lower or breaks out.... very fun event..... P.S. the box i did the 146.0 in i built the night before in 2 hours.........hopeing to double the power and see what she can really do.....

well i try to get pics up but its an ugly ass install, i got wores all over and shit, im planning on walling it, to break the 154 mark, but that is later as i just moved in a new place and rent is 1100 so my extra play moneies got smaller. the box however was built by philip its 45'd and glassed on hte bottom......

thanks, she wasnt mad she had a hard time breathing.... it hits damn well, its 2 mt 15's just got them on wed. still breaking them in.. powerd by 2 DD z1's box is 8 cubes after displacement tuned to 33hz, 16 per... it was a direct swap i had been running sx's but 3k per sub is too much for sx's for daily use...lol i tore the spider on 3 subs. with the sx's the best i did was 151.1 termlab sensor sealed at the dash.... @38hz! i wanna try to meter it soon..hopefully an improvement..i know it feels louder.....

actually you are just cause you have 0 resistance doesnt meant your flow is the same as straight wire. im talking in terms of surface area, tere is not way a 1/4 inch bolt has the surface area of 8 guage wire..... like i said i use bolts as well but the BEST way is a direct connection to the amp...

I recoemnd you resin and fiber first teh drill holes and pull the wires thru then caulk it......

i use bolts to however the mose effective way is to drill little holes and run wire from the amps directly to the sub..that will allow the mose juice to flow, it your not gonna do that then your restircting the flow wnyway so almost any regular bolt will suffice....

well ive owned the btl older version iver heard the new version ive heard the xxx to me the xx is a good sub, as well as the btl, however the xx will play lower and sound better it will do some damage loud wise as well... i personally have three sx 15's 2 in the car and 1 as a spair and i do 149.9 @38 hz so i do okay numbers wise, honestly sx's might be more up your alley, if your set on doing three then a solid 4000-5000 watt amp and a good box tuned to 32hz, you wont be disapointed............

okay i remeterd to day sealed at the windshield 10 inches over 3inches up..,(newest termlab) 151.1 @38hz....... i think its got a little more considering i was playing it all the way to meet the guy to meter it.. and my alt isnt in yet...

i have 1 z1 PER sub....@ 1 ohm each...

the soundstream xxx6500d? that does not do 6000 T 1 ohm unless you run it a t 16volts.... it does about 4400 at 14volts... the z2 is not a good daily amp..... i would prefer to see the z2lvh or something like that, if you gonna do inter changable ports make one for 40 hz with huge port and the other tuned to 33 hz and 15 per.... that is the lagic number with sx's for daily 15per at 33hz...

i am currently runnig 2 re sx 15's in a honda civic hatch, my personal best is 148.9, @38hz.... i havent meterd since my upgrades, but im sure its louder now, any way, my box is 8 cubes after all displacement tuned to 33hz with 16 inches of port per cubic foot, its sub up port back.... for pure spl i say 6 cubes after all displacement tune it to 40+ hz with 18-20 inches of port per cube and give it around 6000 watts.,... i am currently running 6000 to ine daily, it doesnt like ti too much it gets warm after 2 songs and starts smelling after 4-5 songs at full tilt....... my setup is daily groundpounder, i drive it everyday too and from work, i listen to it every day...

in a good way or bad, i have seen one here but its in an spl box so i dont know what sq its capable of it however do a 140 from the trunk of a car and its only a 10.....

the new storkers not the old ones the new ones saposedly have that design. the regular ones not the pro...

better linearity like stated above other woofers have the same technology the stroker has it and the jbl gti, all in my opinion are capable of more solid and better sounding lower notes.....

im actually very partial to the sx's.....and the md3d great combo in my opinion...i myself have 2 sx 15's.......in 8 cubes at 33hz.... and im happy

well 4 guage will only carry 150 aps of current safely so you time s that by 12 volts and you get 1800 watts in theory..... short of the required 2000 needed id say run 1/0 first tehn decide what sub to run....

alt is in hawaii but its an irragi 220 amp not used shipping shouldnt be more than 50 bucks...unless you want overnite shipping..sign up and contact the guy....

yhe only way i could see "better" sound was if the ground was ppor in the first place causing him to clip.... with out changing any stettings on the amo and relocating the ground which just so happend to be to the front battery he may have increased the capabilties of the amp....and reduced the clipping... but to me unless your running a VERY VER hgih current systems id say over 6000watts im okay with grounding it to the frame/body then just upgrading the grounds in the fron engine area.....that is the whole purpose of the big three...it was actually intended to help out people who ground to the frame.... for me a run just shy of 7000 watts daily and i have doubled all y big 3 cuse im too lazy to run a negative run from the front to the bacn in theiry youll gain a few 10ths by doing this but with all that i have minimal dimming of the headlights and im okay with it... no problems for me yet...
