  1. give me 2 minutes and i will have new pics up they are loading right now, but they are not that great because of reflections. We will se how well they turn out but i dont think it will be that good.
  2. also, it is hard to get with a camera, but there are a lot of just dings that are not very deep at all, you have to get eye level with the area and you can see it. Those you wont see on any of the pictures of course.
  3. Well, i have been thinking about it and the deductable is 1,000 dollars. I am Going to consider that option as well as go to a junkyard or whatever you call them and see if i can find a hood for my car and maybe get that painted up. I figured, It is pretty bad and i sure as hell dont want it, but i cant wait four years and use the deductible. I would have to take advantage of it now or pay more money down the line. My hood, trunk, and hood are all dinged up, some more than others, but still. for a 1,000 dollars to have service king fix it for me, i think i am going to take that. I guess just all the money i make in the summer is going to go to that, i will probably have a grand in one month in the summer anyways. What do you guys think. The hood is the worst...
  4. i know its dirty as shit but hey, i dont have a garage so. But you can definetly see the dings, just trying to get my point across....
  5. pics tommorow, i had to work 13 hours today so i didnt get around to it insurance will cover it, but i have to pay a deductible. Probably somewhere from 1-2 grand. And i am saving up my money for college and car audio, plus i am going to have my car outside at college for the next 4 years, so i dont think it would be worth it...
  6. So last night there was a hail storm, reports of baseball size hail, and there as a tornade relativly close. The hail fucked my care up, i was at work so i couldnt do anything. I mean, tehre are probably 12-15 little dents on the hood, then probably 5 on the trunk (however i have a hatchback so my trunk is not that big at all) and a couple on my roof of my car. Megalo did you get anything I will post up pics later right now i just got home from work I didnt really notice because when i got done with work last night it was 1030 at night so i couldnt really see. Then i had to be at work at 830 this morning so when i got off 5 minutes ago, i saw all of it. Sucks Just sucks seeing your car get beat up when you, yourself have never done any of the damage at all
  7. thats an RF amp for you right there 400.4 doing 600+ watts Amen!
  8. I have been happy with RF, and i know that the power series with be efficient, which is important to me. How efficient are those soundstream amps?
  9. yea i am just getting those inifinity tweeters to go along with my 6.5 speakers upfront. Why that amp, it looks like that and the T400-4 are exactly even on specifications (60x4 @ 4 and 100x4 @2), it would save me money purchasing that one though. Some notible differences i see. The soundstream has a " Phase inversion switch (0 - 180) What exactly is that Soundstreams internal crossover slope is a 12 dB and the crossover Freq, is from 50-600 where RFs is at 24 dB and is from 50-500. However i am going to have crossovers for the MB Quart component set, but i am not going to have crossovers for my infinity speakers, (and i am not sure if i will GET crossovers with the infinity tweeters, but i will purchase some for sure). So i will utilize the internal crossover of the amp for my infinity speakers that i already own and are already in my car currently. But i dont think that the crossover freq. range will make a difference because midbass is lower than 500 Hz so the crossover range b/t the two really does not matter. The 24 dB crossover slope is really not too important to me, but is a plus of course. Soundstreams also says "PWM Circuitry".... i have no clue... and tri guard amplifier protection....once again...im lost... But i would really like to know what that phase inversion switch is for, is that a switch you apply if your subs are inverted? (Just guessing)... Anyways Chris thanks for all the fast responses last night dude, you da man
  10. you are the man what do you think about these as well, i think i am going to get them to go with my infinity speakers i already have http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=15364 And i was also going to buy teh new T400-4, you think all those would be good?
  11. was that yes the answer to this question... So the woofers wont be getting 70 Watts RMS, the woofer and the tweeter will be sharing the 70 Watts then?
  12. oh, i see, I ahve obviously never dealt with component systems before. So the woofers wont be getting 70 Watts RMS, the woofer and the tweeter will be sharing hte 70 Watts then? Thanks for the info. Would all this come in the manual of the components?
  13. how many watts RMS can those tweeters take, 70 Watts? figured that was just for the woofers...?
  14. Thanks, yea i saw that but i wanted to be reassured before i drop 300 on them. And yea, it looks that way on his diagram... thanks bro
  15. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=12144 Do you get a pair or just one woofer one tweeter and a crossover. It may sound really stupid but i am a little scetchy about the title "5.25" 2-Way QSD Series Separate Components" saying seperate components. And also, does anyone know if you can wire tweeters toa two ohm load?
  16. Hey meade, on that T400.4 do you have 2 tweeters on each channel, so a 2-ohm load on each channel. And how much power do you give those tweeters, 50 Watts each (since it does 100W x 4 @ 2 ohms)
  17. yea right, the local shop i bought all my stuff from didnt help one bit. I took my amp in there, they asked me a couple things, and then he said i ahve to ship it off. Absolutely no help. I will pay way less on an online store for now on, because if it dont work, ill just send it in like i did before. And does online stores have a warranty as well?
  18. check it out... However i do have a slight disadvantage cuz i was stupid and did not attach anything with my application about NHS, a teacher reccomendation or anything. Matt, We have received your letter and application. Could you please also send a transcript? E-mail of a scanned PDF would be fine. By the way, that’s big wire, and 200 Amps is indeed Excessive Amperage. Don’t neglect the fuses. 19. oh no, dont mention it, its a huge fucking pleasure you twit ?? im lost?
  20. also, here is just a post that is 4 pages long, but it does go through some issues that i was trying to describe. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=218918
  21. Here are some websites to show you how you measure length properly, i have had to read some of them 5 times in a row to help me grasp it completely. http://www.caraudiojunkyard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56 http://www.caraudiojunkyard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=237 and some good reading... http://www.caraudiojunkyard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39
  22. Okay, those are a great start, one thing to look at though is the distance b/t the end of the port to the enclosure wall. On that first diagram (diagram A) when it bends to make the "L" shape, the width must be the same, you probably know that. Measure down the middle and add half the width of the port for end correction because the back wall of the enclosure is used for the port. On diagram B, depending on the length from the end of the port to the right side enclosure wall can make a difference in port length. If the length between the wall and the end of the port is the same distance as the width of your port, the port carries around, it is minimal distance though but necessary if you want an accurate length for tuning. And then you would add half the width again for end correction. However, if the distance between the end of the port is longer then the distance of the ports width, you would just measure down the middle and add half of the ports width for end correction. I know, It is hard to understand over a forum where all you can do is read and interpret for things that are not clearly stated. but keep asking questions! And if you havent found out how to use the tuning formula, i believe it was amatt on this forum, craeted a great excel format where you can just plug in some measurments and it will give you the tuning frequency.
  23. maybe consider bracing with appropriate wood panels inside the enclosure.
