  1. restraining order really? if this guy is a rapist he wont give a fuck about a restraining order. if this was me and my gf. i would show up at his house with about 4 or 5 of my friends, dont touch him, maybe break some shit tell him if you ever so much as see him around your girl again you will shoot him. plain and simple. i dont fuck around with that kind of shit, you never know what some people will do.

  2. I'd meter with the amp set with the DD-1, then turn up the gain more and meter again. You'll more then likely be louder with some clipping which should be fine for a 3 second burp...

please do not do this clipping will in no way make you louder. if any thing u would lose dbs from clipping. plus you risk ruining your equipment.

  3. am i the only one that sees something wrong here?

he has a hifi2000 and a 220 amp alt and hes having problems. those amp dont even put out 1500 rms. i know several people who have those on stock electrical just fine. there is diffidently something wrong here. maybe bad ground?

How do you know his "220" amp alt actually outputs 220 amps.

    Factory tested. 220amps at 4000rpm

ground is probably my problem...there is no ground wiring, just what is mounted on the motor'.

omg what company is that so i'll make sure i dont get one, 220 amps at 4000 rpm means you have to be driving over 100 mph.

not if your a man and drive a manual. the only reason they made automatics is so women could drive too

op maybe you should just drive everywhere @ 4k rpm.

I thought that is why they made the ford Taurus....

lmao true, i can say one thing though they can take a beating i put mine through hell. i dont drive that anymore though now i have a crx.

  5. yeah get the line converter i had to pay like $160 just for the dash kit for mine.

no idk what that 130 db thing is lol. i never got it metered but the car does hold up pretty good with bass. well except the trunk lid. you are gonna diffidently want some deadner on that.

  6. nevermind that torres calc i posted would be perfect for your subs. for somereason i thought i seen that they like 1.5 ported. just be sure if you do build that to add some internal bracing.

So for instance if the sub is naturally tuned @ 33Hz, i'd set my sub sonic filter to say.....26Hz?... And my subs should be able to take between 600-1000rms a piece & I'm going to push them with an amp that would push around 1500rms so I should be safe right.(in case I'm not awesome on the knob)

    Thanks

no you set your ssf based on what your box is tuned too not the fs of the sub. and those obsidians will eat up that 1500 rms all day long as long as it isnt clipped.

Ok thanks I hope they do too. That means I could sell the amp & uprade. & any box suggestions?

actually i just built my box for my 2 skar 12s. ill post my torres calc. your obsidians should do pretty good in it too. Untitled-1.jpg

edit: i just remembered that obsidains like smaller boxes so this might not be the best for you. unless you feel like doing alot of bracing.

Hey, I just noticed you have a Taurus as well. From your info., I'm assuming that your eletrical system is stock. Are you having any light dimming issues or battery drainage? I'd really like to see your setup if possible.

    Thanks

i used to have the taurus i just got a different car though. i dont have any pics of my old system though. they have a 110 amp alt iirc. all i did was upgrade my battery ground and my lights dimmed pretty bad to 900 rms @ idle. but it would stay above 13 volts and lights dont dim too much while driving. these cars are a bitch to do anything on im so glad i got a new car. but if you have any questions i can most likely answer them.

  9. I did some brief clamp testing with the prototypes and was impressed. I upgraded some internals on the amplifier producing about 10% more power in the production models, so I am waiting to post official clamps until the 1 of each of the production model's come via Air the first week of January. The official spec sheet is a good basis for those interested until I get clamp vid's and specs posted.

are you crazy 10% increase those 1500's are going to be putting out almost 1800 at 1 ohm I LIKE IT!!

i have a feeling the 1500 will put out a little more then 1800 :peepwall:
