  1. I think I decided that i'm either getting fi BL's, either 2 10s or 2 12s. I like how little of space the 10s take up, but I know that 2 12s are louder. The question is how much lowder are they? I know you can't really explain it and I should listen to them in person, but I can't do that. The main thing is I like to feel the bass like when you can feel it in your hair that kind of bass. How much better would the 12s be then the 10s. Please try to help me. 2,000 watts are going to the subs (together) Thanks
  2. Dam... So there arn't really any good speakers that put out a lot of bass? And I really don't want to get a sub. Any other comments or ideas?
  3. The frequency response of the Hertz i'm looking at have a 65hz-23khz while the crescendos have a 48hz-22khz. Also the crescendos have a sensitivity of 92db and the Hertz have 93db. The Hertz are 250$ and teh crescendos are $100. Witch is better?
  4. First of all, what is a good brand that makes car speakers that have good quallity and a lot of bass. I don't plan on getting a sub, so I want the best bass I can get out of my regualar car speakers(with an amp). I'm looking at Hertz and Audioque, but what is the best type of hertz speaker for bass, but not the most expensive? Also what is better for quallity and bass between having the tweeter in the speaker and not conected to the speaker? And is 6X9 or 6.5 better? Thanks
  5. Hey, Will 2 18 BL's do as good as ssd's if not better if I'm giving them 1100W each or no? Maybe i'll get the BL's and the smaller amp is what i'm saying or should I get the SSD's and smaller amp?
  6. This. Those new sp4's are sexy as hell. buying 1 sp4 is cheaper than 2 BLs yup... but 2 18s have twice the cone area of 1 18...
  7. you're not going to hear a significant difference (if any) in 600w. shit, you'll lose more than that just in box rise and voltage loss. what is box rise and voltage loss from what? Do you think ssd's could take 1200 RMS loaded? (I'm new at this) the ssd can take 1200w of unclipped power with no sweat. box rise is when you go from 1ohm nominal to like 40ohms as the cone moves in the enclosure (as an example) idk how to explain it but im sure someone here can. and voltage drop from not having a good enough electrical to support the amp. say you sit at 14.4 but once the bass hits the amp will draw power and voltage will drop to like 13.4 (again an example) but upgrading your electrical can help with that. oh, from what my original question was what do you think I should get? For the electrical system if you mean an alt. and batteries I have that covered.

  9. ... really the question is is 600watts a big difference and do SSD's take 1200 RMS with all addons? Thanks
  10. Well... Can someone tell me how much RMS a fully loaded BL and SSD have?
  11. for the SSD's I would get a Crescendo BC2000d For the BL's I would get a Crescendo BC3500d
  12. I'm looking at 2 fully loaded 18" fi BL's vs SSD's. First off how much RMS power do fully loaded SSD's put out (I assumed 1200)? Ok here is the problem I can get 2 fully loaded BL's with an amp and alternator for about $1868 And two loaded Bl puts out 1500 RMS each (3k power for the $). Now there are the SSD's for about $1373 with alternator and amp (2.4k power for the $). I don't know how big of a difference 600 watts is, but is it worth $450+ more? Thanks
  13. Ok, after look for a few months I think this is what i'm getting. crescendo audio 3KWP Monoblock Amplifier. 2 15" fi bl's fully loaded (from what you guys said I probably can't get 18s in a trunk so I guess 15s have to do). estimate that at 3k RMS. 2 800 amp batteries. A 200 amp alternator (I would get bigger, but I plan on putting this in a 67-69 camaro, 70-72 chevelle, or 67-71 charger. They don't make big alts fr that old of vehicle that I can find.). The box would the biggest I could fit (about 9-12 cubes). What do you think I should tune the port to and what size? I haven't figured out the wiring yet. Sound good so far? Thanks for the help!
  14. Now something tells me this isn't true... Does anyone know if AQ's 18 inch subs would take less space then fi Bl's?
  15. This is completely untrue. What do you mean? Not all subs are going to be recommended the same enclosure. I had a box for 2 nightshade 18's. It was 8.25 cubes net. Bassraced a 49.9 in an explorer. Traded those subs out for 2 Fi BL 18's and it sounded horrible. See where I'm going with this? Yeah, but what good brands don't require a lot of space?
  16. What would take less power to get lower between a one magnet motor or a multiple layers motor?
  17. Are there other subs that don't require such a big box or are they all about the same?
  18. I'm not stuck on them, but I believe they are a good sub. Any other suggestions on subs? I want around 3k RMS.
  19. What's the smallest box you would put 2 18's into that would sound better then 2 15's?
  20. No, it has a wall. I was actually thinking about 4 15's would that be louder then 2 18's, but 4 15 bl's would be like 6k rms and I don't want to buy that big of an amp.
  21. If I put 2 18's in 11 cubic feet (maybe 12) it would still sound better then 2 15s right? or no? (I really want 2 18's but if the 15's sound better I guess I have to get them)
