  1. I have around 10 cubic feet in my truck maybe more, I want 2 18's, but would 2 15's sound better? They would be fully loaded pushing 3k RMS together. Thanks
  2. How much would it be just for wiring? I can get batteries cheap, but idk about an alt. Do you know how big of an alternator I would get if i'm going to be pushing 3k?
  3. The only people that could MAYBE help would be a car custom business, but prob not. For people in my area, no one really has a good system they think kicker is the best around here (North Dakota). So if anyone would be willing to help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I'm sure there's somebody in your area, not a shop they charge. Finding someone that knows their shit would be your best bet. I really don't know anyone that knows anything about a good system :( :( :( I want to have to biggest system and that won't be very hard considering people don't know much about a good system. So am I shit outa luck?
  4. this, it takes a good bit of money to fully support 3-4k. On 3k you can barely get away with two big batts on a stock alt(depending on output) but you'll still good voltage drop. To run 4k it would be highly recommended to get an HO alt and some big batts. Plus all the wire, fuse holders, terminals and some deadner. On my setup I'm running a 3k amp but but its only set to 2800(using a dmm) I've done the 'big3' spp1200 up front and a hc2000 in the trunk and I'm dropping to high 12s. 3k on a stock alt? I didn't know you could get that high on stock.

  6. lol, Is the above system that I said good then though? And can you tell me what you would need to get for that system? Thanks btw
  7. Well i'm trying to learn... I don't want to slowly get bigger. All I have right now is 2 kicker 15s 1000 RMS and i'm trying to upgrade. What else do I need to know?
  8. why? I plan on getting 2 loaded Bl's with a crescendo audio 3k amp. I need to get a batter and alternator picked out still.
  9. So you can wire a 2ohm sub to 1ohm on an amp? If so would it be the same power as a 1ohm to 1ohm? Again... I'm new at this.
  10. I think i'm starting to understand more. This is off topic, but who makes alternators that can handle around 4-5k watts?
  11. Yeah, but then you would have to get 2x bigger amp then a 1 ohm sub correct? And yes i'm new at this.
  12. Well I knew that 2 ohms takes twice the power of 1 ohm to power, but why would anyone even want a 2 ohm sub then?
  13. Is there any advantages over 2 ohms to 1 ohm? I'm hooking up 2 subs to one amp once I order them.
  14. Can someone please answer that?^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Sorry again if it's an obvious answer, but i'm a noob at this Thanks
  15. This is probably a stupid question, but I need to know what can or can't fit. So if 1 18 is 6-10 cubic feet and you want 2 in a dual box would it be around 7 cubic feet or around 14 cubic feet? I'm new at this, it's my first system. I just need to make sure. Thanks
  16. well... If you put 2 subs in the same box (duel box). Do you times there ported box cubic feet by 2 or because there in the same box it's the same cubic feet as 1 sub in 1 box?
  17. I've never heard of them. How do they compare to like AQ and sundown?
  18. I'm looking at buying 2 fully loaded fi Bl's. I think they run at 1500 RMS when they are fully loaded. So that's 3k together and I can't find an amp with that RMS for under #600 that's good. Audioque has their AQ3500D, but it's $800 and I don't want to buy a used one. Any suggestions? Or do I have to spend the money? Thanks
