  1. I think the aeroport will probably be the easiest thing for me do, so I'm probably going to install one. Is there any reason why I shouldn't?
  2. That's the one I was looking at. Does the port have to be in a certain location in the box or can I have it on the side?
  3. If I cut out a hole big enough for one of these tubes in the side would that be good? This aero port thing looks a lot easier if I am understanding correctly. How would tuning the box work then?
  4. I have no specifications except that it needs to be angled. I could do what you're saying, but I wouldn't know how to make that port. Is there people that can make a box design with all the dimensions including the port? I have no idea how port length and port area and frequency works.
  5. The port will be like 2-3inches away from the back of the trunk. I would port it from the front but I don't know how you could do that. If anyone has pictures of a front ported angled box please tell me.
  6. I ordered a Fi Q 12 and an AQ-1200D. It will go inside of my 2001 BMW 330i. I want to make an angled box that will sit up against the back of the trunk. Fi recommends at least 1.8 cubic ft and tuned to about 32hz. I entered the dimensions on the Re calculator and got this box My question is will it be okay if the port is against the back of the trunk AND on the opposite side of the sub itself. Thanks.
  7. Ok, cool. Just bought the AQ1200 and the Fi Q 12. Thanks for your help everyone.
  8. I think you'd be happy with either one. While I don't have personal experience with either*, both are from well respected companies and both get rave reviews. *If information I've been reading is correct, the M1a and the AQ1200d are very much alike. And I've abused the crap out of mine. Ok, thanks man. Really appreciate the help you've given me. I just have one more question though. On the Fi webpage, you can choose between Dual 1 and Dual 2 for the Q 12. What one would I choose?
  9. Well, I tried to order the SAX1200D from dB-r yesterday and the website checkout wouldn't work. I went to order it today but I guess the sale ends on August 22nd, so they no longer have the sale. Shame, I really wanted to buy from dB-r. Should I just buy the Audioque AQ-1200? It's now $40 cheaper than the SAX1200D.
  10. Mr. sundownz, I was trying to buy a refurbished SAX1200D yesterday and they website wouldn't accept my checkout. I tried again today but it seems the price has risen to $275 from $220, if I recall correctly. What happened, did the 20% discount end?
  11. EDIT: I guess it would help if I gave the link, huh? After shipping it will be a little more. But in my (very) limited experience, this is the best wire I've used. Its a little outside of your budget, but maybe you can make the stretch? Sonic electronix also has Kicker Hyperflex. Its a lot more flexible (though how useful that extra flexability is is debatable), and a little less wire. AudioSavings has Cadence wire. I haven't used it, but a few people on here have and seem to like it. So I'm looking to get 4 Gauge? And am I suppose to get the Dual 1 or Dual 2 Fi Q 12?
  12. What type of wiring kits should I use? Anything under $50 would be fine.
  13. The SAX12000D is only $12 more than the SAZ1000D, so it's probably worth it to buy the SAX1200D, right?
  14. Would you suggest to get a Sundown amp or the Audioque AQ1200? Honestly, its a toss up. Pick the one that's cheaper/looks best/matches your sub. They will both perform. Personally, I'd get the Sundown because I think they are secksy. If I really would have had a problem with my M1a, I would have bought one of the refurb SAZ-1500Ds off dBr. Yes, I do make decisions based upon looks. Haha, I don't really want to but I kinda am judging the amps based upon their looks. And the refurbished Sundown here, will it have any major scratches or whatnot? It's a really great deal nevertheless.
